Song drabble meme!

the song drabble meme

It's pretty simple and fun, folks. This is how this works!
( 01 ) Have a playlist ready! Don't use all your songs--try and narrow it down a little.
( 02 ) Let everyone know how many songs you're working with. Also, which characters you would be willing to write about.
( 03 ) Others tag your post, picking a character or pairing or friendship or familial relationship or whatever, and then choose a number from your list.
( 04 ) Write a drabble related to that song, using that/those character(s)!

HERE'S THE CATCH:
You only have the length of the song to write a drabble!
(Or, you could, you know.  Just put the song on repeat until you hit a stopping point.  Who's gonna know?)

Here's a handy HTML box, if you so desire!

"We're going!"

"We are most certainly not."

"Querl, I'm making you live a little, whether you like it or not. It's time to stop living in your lab burrow, okay?"

They went. That is, Brenda dragged him on one of the rides in amusement complex they were at for this particular shore leave. It was a zero G funhouse, complete with personal propelling units, and grav-gates to shoot individuals along from one place to another. For a moment, Brainy floated there, rubbing his chin.

"What are you doing?" she asked, whirling slightly in place, hair raising up in the lack of gravity.

"I'm attempting to calculate the most efficient way to maneuver through the obstacle course. It seems to me that--"

She grabbed his hand, and dragged him through the nearby grav-gate. And she didn't let go. Their day was spent running through one grav gate to the next, twirling through no-grav like they were flying and swimming at the same time.

Technically this wasn't flying. He wasn't using his flight ring. They were going at relatively low speeds. Despite all that, he felt like he'd never flown so high and fast in his life.
