Here's how we do it.

1. Make a post for each character confessing something. It could be ceiling-cat, inner angst, a secret love, or hey, maybe you just want to list all the things that the character feels are so pent up inside him just bursting to get out. Weight of the world on his shoulders?
2. People reply to those posts with reactions to the confessions. It can be "what were you smoking when you did that" or "uhwhat?" or even "nice job, buddy!"
3. Forced honesty, uh-yep.
4. Bonus! Make as many confessions as you'd like!
5. Profit!

That's how I felt when my friends started training me. I was so clumsy that it was almost hopeless, and I'm sure you're more graceful than I was.

You'll catch on more quickly than I did, I'm sure of it. And you might even be great with the weapons!

All right. I can certainly understand that.

Then we'll help you defend yourself. It definitely takes practice, and you fall down quite often, but when you get back up you've learned something.

I've had that drilled into my head repeatedly in my time here.

Anyone can learn to fight effectively if they want to. Failures in training don't matter. They happen so we can learn, and make sure they don't happen when it's the real deal.
