Tell confessa-a-bear

Here's how we do it.

1. Make a post for each character confessing something. It could be ceiling-cat, inner angst, a secret love, or hey, maybe you just want to list all the things that the character feels are so pent up inside him just bursting to get out. Weight of the world on his shoulders?
2. People reply to those posts with reactions to the confessions. It can be "what were you smoking when you did that" or "uhwhat?" or even "nice job, buddy!"
3. Forced honesty, uh-yep.
4. Bonus! Make as many confessions as you'd like!
5. Profit!

All of the advanced technology on this ship makes me feel really stupid.

You're not the only one, kiddo.
greennotgold: (Curious)

[personal profile] greennotgold 2010-07-28 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
That makes it a little better. Thank you.

Where I'm from? We don't try to use lightning, we run from it.

All this seems a bit mad from my perspective. Useful, but mad. And beyond a simple dragonslayer.
greennotgold: (r // Forgive me)

We have electricity where I'm from, but we can't fly or go into space...

[identity profile] f-u-im-a-human.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Flying's nice, but I'd leave it to the ones born with wings.

I wonder what it's like... It's probably safer that way.

[identity profile] drowpaladin.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Me too. Or, well, it will once I'm not asleep in a pod...
greennotgold: (Alerted)

[personal profile] greennotgold 2010-07-28 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
You're still in a pod?

[identity profile] drowpaladin.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
For a while yet, I am told. But telepathy is a wonderful thing?
greennotgold: (Huh...)

[personal profile] greennotgold 2010-07-28 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
It must be... Does that mean you can read minds? [must find tinfoil]

[identity profile] drowpaladin.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
No. I wasn't taught how to--I can project my thoughts so you can hear me, and I can hear you back, but I cannot trespass upon your personal thoughts, either unintentionally, or through force.

[personal profile] greennotgold 2010-07-28 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see. That's good...

[identity profile] drowpaladin.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
There is also the fact that it would be unethical to force myself upon those who were either beneath my protection, or my comrades.

I would not want to dishonor my father or my family by defacing the Paladin code.
greennotgold: (Pretty please?)

[personal profile] greennotgold 2010-07-28 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Welp, that's reassuring. Yay.] Ah. What's a paladin, though?

[identity profile] drowpaladin.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[By the look on her face, this is going to take some thought.]

First I should say I am not fully trained. But, a Paladin is a knight, specifically a holy knight. I was trained in swordplay from a young age, and when I came into my magic at twelve, I started taking classes in that.

I suppose Paladins can be religious, but considering the goddess I worship is Elee, Goddess of the Ideal, I doubt I will be enforcing my views on anyone, since it's unlikely my ideal aligns with anyone else's.

[identity profile] maguspuparum.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
It shouldn't. Times change but men don't.

[identity profile] maguspuparum.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Listen, the people who made all this stuff probably weren't any smarter than you, and if you studied it for as long as they did you could understand it as well as any one of them.
greennotgold: (Bookworm)

[personal profile] greennotgold 2010-07-28 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
You--you think so? I've been reading lots of stuff in the library but no matter how much I read there's always so much more.

[identity profile] maguspuparum.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
There's always more, but that's true in any time. It's not like you could have learned everything there was to know where you came from. You just took more for granted there, that's the only difference.

Once you leave society you start to realize just how much knowledge it uses and keeps.
