Tell confessa-a-bear

Here's how we do it.

1. Make a post for each character confessing something. It could be ceiling-cat, inner angst, a secret love, or hey, maybe you just want to list all the things that the character feels are so pent up inside him just bursting to get out. Weight of the world on his shoulders?
2. People reply to those posts with reactions to the confessions. It can be "what were you smoking when you did that" or "uhwhat?" or even "nice job, buddy!"
3. Forced honesty, uh-yep.
4. Bonus! Make as many confessions as you'd like!
5. Profit!

If ye thought the reason I started taking lessons on how to repair things was because of Kaylee, you'd not be far wrong.

She's not the only reason, but that's a large part of it, aye?

I'd assumed you wanted to work with us because you wanted to help the Doctor, and a small part of me hoped I'd helped.

But love's the most powerful motivator of all, right?

Oh. Well, aye, now that I think about it, helping the Doctor might have been part of it too. But what does love have to do with...

[It takes him a minute, but he figures out what Billy is insinuating. Or, at least, he thinks he's figured it out.] Hey! Kaylee's just a friend.

[morphitudinous]

For now.

[He's being unusually forthright.] Your relationship with her is unmistakably different from mine. She's made it clear that she views me as a cute younger brother, even if we sometimes flirt in jest. The interest with you two appears to be genuine, and if a certain someone hadn't reached her first...

[sigh] Kaylee's popular, isn't she?

I don't know about that, Billy. I mean, even if I told her...och, what's the use? It's too late now anyway.

[sighs as well] Aye. She is.

[morphitudinous]

I'm sorry. [Sorrowful shoulder-pat.]

I know you're not the only one in that position with Kaylee, but that's hardly consolation. All I can say is that I hope it gets better---that you can enjoy your time with her more, that you find someone or they find or, or that she becomes available and realizes what she's missing.

I'm sorry. [Because it bears repeating.]

I know I'm not. It doesn't matter, though. She's still a friend, no matter what. But thank ye anyway.

[Thoughtfully] What about ye, then? Ye mentioned flirting. Do ye like her that way, too? Or someone else? I've not thought to ask.

At least there's that.

[Digging foot into the ground] I don't know. I thought I felt something for her once, but I quickly got relegated to brother status and realized that was best. The same thing happened with Wyn before her. I thought I liked someone else more recently, but the memories have faded and warped.

It's probably not worth all the trouble and attention I find myself devoting to it.

I wonder sometimes if it's worth the bother, too. Now that ye mention it, though, I thought there was someone else I liked at one time. I know it wasn't Kaylee, or Victoria, but...

[shaking his head] I don't remember.

Well...aye. I'd not really considered it until ye showed me how to fix those wires.

[Which is the truth, so he feels he can keep any other motivations he might have to himself.]

I dunno. Just wouldn't want you to feel pressured into somethin', but if you're willingly goin' with it, I think it's a good step forward.
