The CR (Character Relationships) Meme

It's been a while since we've really done a meme with a purpose, and longer since we've done a CR meme - and now that we have a bunch of fresh new characters, time to find out what everyone thinks of you!

There's nothing fancy here - no fancy HTML - just pure bare-bones simplicity:

-Post with the characters you play
-Other people will tag you wanting to know your thoughts (What does Nanoha think of [Character]?)
-You answer!
-Potential/existing CR develops.
-???
-Profit!

So go, go, go for it!

I already know what Hiccup thinks of Kang, but what about Brainiac 5 and Aang?

[identity profile] cabbage-butt.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
Brainy thinks he's just another humanoid. And mentally drops him into the slot he drops all politicians.

Aang thinks he's like a lizard-man and that it's totally neat. He wants to ask stupid questions about his lizardey-ness.

...Aang should. :D

[identity profile] jesushasayak.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Aang doesn't know Miku well yet, but he wants to be FRENS.

This will be even more so when he finds out she's learning from Cargn. He figures any person Cargn would mentor has got to be cool.

Jaime finds Sherry just...amusing, because he was quiet and bookish and would spend time in the schoolyard looking at bugs, and she kinda reminds him of a younger him. He's all "Teehee, just wait until you meet your Paco and Brenda." Also she is Leon's kid so the requisite "would defend to my last breath" thing is in place, out of loyalty to Leon.

With Kon, there is a definite kid sibling vibe going on. He honestly, genuinely adores Sherry, and thinks she's a funny little kid. With all his teasing and the poking and prodding when she gets serious, that's his way of trying to trick her into having fun and being a kid since he can tell that her childhood took a turn for the ugly, even if he doesn't know all the specifics.

Kon never had a childhood, so his acting like a big dumb kid around her and teasing and all that is like...him trying to make sure she gets ones, whether she likes it or not. He wants to make sure she never gets TOO srs. If there ever comes a day where he can't trick her into almost-smiling, he'll worry about her.

[identity profile] so-pregnable.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Kon feels...a kinship with her. On his end, it was bam, instant connection. For Kon, it's not about his Kryptonian heritage or his human half--for him, his clone heritage is the strongest cultural background he ascribes to. So he sees other clones as like the same "species." Just like with Dani, Kon has found one of his own "kind."

On a more personal level, her story broke his heart and he really just...feels for her. She's tremendously sweet and kind, and he thinks it's horrible her mom treated her the way she did. He kinda wants to give her mom a swift kick to the rear.

Definite friend material--and more than that, he sees her as of like kind to him. And as far as he's concerned, clones stick together, yo.

Ahahaha.

Jaime on Steve. (keywords relevant)

[identity profile] el-escarabajo.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Jaime does not get whiners. He comes from a very Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, lift yourself up by your own bootstraps kinda family.

He also does not get the people that think being a superhero is all glitz and glamour and easy living.

All that said, Jaime can tell he got issues and he figures there is a reason for them. Were he the type to pry into people's personal business, he'd be investigating, trying to figure out what they are. As he is not, he's trying to be understanding and trying to keep an open mind. If he were to find out Steve's virus problems, there'd be a quiet "Aha" and then he'd just feel bad for him--while at the same time trying to treat him like normal instead of acting like he pities him.

Jaime's default when someone has something crappy is to be there with a sympathetic ear when necessary, but otherwise, he just tends to act like nothing is wrong to give them a sense of normalcy.

Let's hear...

Aang, Jaime, and Brainy's opinion of Leon

And Kon's opinion on Julian and Doc Samson.

[identity profile] el-escarabajo.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Aang likes Leon as a person but worries about his leadership if only because Aang's used to self-reflection being considered a good leadership trait where he's from, but Leon is constantly on the go. He worries about his ability to stay centered. He's waiting and seeing before making any judgments though, waiting to see what kind of leader he demonstrates that he is.

Brainy voted for Nathan. He still doesn't like Leon after Leon took his omnicom ages ago, and is only following him because the majority willed it. He generally dislikes any leader that won't pander to his behavioral quirks, and also thinks Leon distrusts him, which puts a major chip on his shoulder. It actually, crazy as it is, hurts his feelings. (I don't know if Leon trusts him or not, Brainy just thinks he doesn't).

Jaime thinks Leon is like...kinda on the shootier side, but honestly? He sort of reminds him of his dad. Jaime knows decent people can be the types to shoot every bad thing that moves. He thinks he is very decent, and wonders if Leon sees the same decent person Jaime sees, but he doesn't want to pry and ask what Leon thinks of himself. He trusts him as leader and thinks that even if he makes mistakes, he'll learn from them.

Kon sees Julian as his bro, and by that, I mean, he wonders sometimes "Is this what having a brother feels like?" Julian has joined the ranks of bro-ness with Tim and Bart, in Kon's eyes. He likes that their friendship is simple. Although he will think Julian should treat chicks a little better when he finds out about those hijinks, but nobody's perfect.

There are a lot of mushy feelings there, though, that he'd never talk about, especially since he does remember the battlefield (since it was a dream when he was in his other dream). When a dude carries you on his back across a battlefield, you really start to care, but he'd never say it in a million years.

As for Doc Samson, Doc gets points for 1) Getting It, 2) Talking like he's an average dude, 3) Understanding the superhero scene, and 4) Not referring to Kon as "the subject." He hates doctors, he hates shrinks, they always treated him like a thing, and Doc treats him like a person. It doesn't take much to earn Kon's trust sometimes, and this is one of those times, just because of his affect and how he talks to Kon. Eventually, if he keeps being trustworthy, Kon will start to just trust him in general.

What's Aang got to say about Aeneas?

And, for the lulz, Hiccup on Dustin? :D Because they are such good friends.

[identity profile] i-saw-myself.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Aang still wants to thank Aeneas for being there when everyone busted him free from the sarcophagus.

He also kinda wants to ride him, but he thinks it'd be rude to ask.

Lol, Hiccup thinks Dustin is a low-down, dirty shyster, and that all his talk of using valuables to get more materials is just a cover up for the fact that he just wants to rip people off and possible have things to trade for personal gain when they're worldside. He doesn't like him, he doesn't trust him, and most of all, he doesn't like how Dustin talks to him. They might have resolved things to some semblance of civility, but Hiccup, now that he' a badass hero to his village, is kinda done with being talked to like he's stupid. For Hiccup, their argument was the first little social hurdle he had jump after becoming a hero, so he kind of rallied with assertiveness and aggressiveness.

Though he'd never see it that way, Dustin was good for him. Manning his own shop will be a good experience for him, and he needed someone to challenge him for him to start learning to fight back and stick up for what he thinks is right (whether he's right or not).

Have to ask: what's Aang's take on ship bound Katara?

[identity profile] jesushasayak.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
He loves her as always, but he thinks she's a starting to be a very different person in some ways. He understands why--keeping busy is a reasonable reaction to a huge tragedy like the loss of their world, but he does worry that she's not quite as centered as she used to be. He also has worries about the Bene Gesserit that are going to come to light with that plot we have planned.

But he believes Katara has the right to make her own choices, and that he should trust her to find her own way. He'll only ever speak up if something happens that really worries him, right now he just sees her as her growing and changing because of their situation and because that's what people do.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
That is true, in certain points: Katara has definitely been rattled when it comes to the Ohm: if anything, the fact that she's made so many friends on the ship and that some of them definitely need protection has made her anxious, so she's actually gone through a few transformations to try and ease some of that. The Bene Gesserit, at times, have actually helped her to center some of that, largely due to the teachers who have instructed her. With Sheeana it was opening her mind to possibilities and efforts other than falling to her emotions as a default. It's helped Katara crawl into herself and see who she is, and what could be her downfall. At the same time, Katara is coming to a point where she realizes what drew her into the Bene Gesserit way WAS her teachers: Sheena's wild ways and Arha's gentle yet firm hand in shaping her into a more balanced warrior.

The outsiders are actually going to be the nail in the coffin when it comes to that: Katara can't possibly study combat, the BG way AND be the co-leader in the Outsiders. Aang and Sokka will help in making her realize that in any sort of training, the teachers by themselves can't make up for beliefs Katara doesn't support.
