The CR (Character Relationships) Meme

It's been a while since we've really done a meme with a purpose, and longer since we've done a CR meme - and now that we have a bunch of fresh new characters, time to find out what everyone thinks of you!

There's nothing fancy here - no fancy HTML - just pure bare-bones simplicity:

-Post with the characters you play
-Other people will tag you wanting to know your thoughts (What does Nanoha think of [Character]?)
-You answer!
-Potential/existing CR develops.
-???
-Profit!

So go, go, go for it!

Hello, folks.

Sherry thinks that Nanoha is a very nice scary nice lady, though she doesn't know too much about her beyond that, except that she is apparently Vivio's mom-dad, and works under her father now as head of the Magic (lolmagic) department. She knows that Nanoha and Miku sometimes make food for the crew, but hasn't de-hermited herself enough yet to bother going down.

Miku respects Nanoha very, very much, both as a fellow Japanese and as her new boss. She knows how different their Japans are, however, and wonders what kind of changes were wrought that made Nanoha so much more outgoing and less of a proponent of the concept of harm. Still, she's glad that she can go to talk to Nanoha about almost anything, even if it's just a silly recipe, and appreciates it as a new experience.

As for Michael... he makes her a little dizzy with his flirtations and smiles and she isn't quite sure how to handle that. She knows it is very much a passing thing, as she feels much more herself away from him, but learning to draw upon her calm when he's right there and ping!smiling at her is going to be very... interesting. Thinking of Steve and Baseball should help.

She hopes.

Sherry and Miku on Claire?

[identity profile] in-venting.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherry has finally gotten to the point that she finally able to push against the boundaries that Claire and Leon set up for her. She wants, in some little way, to be like her mother (even though the siren call of SCIENCE is clearly the product of her earlier upbringing): Clever, strong, determined, adaptable, and warm-hearted (though with the propensity for stupid aboard, she's okay with not emulating that last bit). She knows that Claire loves her very much, and aims to return that love as best she can/try not to give Claire too many gray hairs.

That's not working out so well for her, actually. BUT SHE IS TRYING.

Miku, on the other hand, is absolutely terrified of Claire. Steve has spoken of her with no small amount of adoration and respect, and she feels the pedestal Claire is on is very daunting. Not only that, she has a feeling that if something happened to Steve that was Miku's fault, Claire would drop upon her like a rabid wolf and swallow her whole. Perhaps with time, and more hangouts with just Claire, Miku will become less totally terrified of her.

You knew this was coming. Nehaa!

[identity profile] dearest-nehaa.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Nehaalista thinks that Kang is very intelligent, well-spoken, with a dash of bawdy to him that makes her interactions fun and a bit less stressful than what she perceives with humans. As a fellow non-human, Nehaalista is very pleased he is on the council, even if he isn't one of her people.

She's content to continue giving him gifts until he is buried under the weight of trinkets. And then she will give him some more. He isn't quite "family" to her (Nehaa's concept of that post-crash is a little skewed, anyway) but he is slowly trickling into good friend.

She has no romantic interest in him.

Sherry on Miku on Luis and Steve (novel time 8D )

Nehaa on Luis!

THE SMILING ICON SEES INTO YOUR SOUL.

We'll start with Miku and Steve first. *cracks knuckles*

Miku love-love-loves Steve, and that is pretty scary for her. Sure, it took her four months to figure it out and separate "sisterly" feelings from "romantic" feelings, but when she finally came to the conclusion was she ever glad that he reciprocated. She knows that their relationship isn't perfect, and that leaning on a crutch of normalcy to combat the fact she sees dead people and he could turn into a hulking green monster is probably a bit like sticking their heads in the ground and pretending it isn't there.

She's very happy that he's becoming a little more sociable and by extension is making her more sociable, too. Miku also appreciates that their relationship isn't based on skinship. She knows that this is probably difficult for him (she had a brother, and lived with a couple about to get married - she understands people have Needs), but knows even if they could be all up in each others' business, she wouldn't feel comfortable with it yet.

Miku knows that Steve doesn't tell her everything, and she's okay with that because she can just touch his stuff until she finds what she needs because he may tell her eventually.

For now, she wants to be his support, and even if they don't last ~*forever*~ she wants him to know how important he is to her, in her own clumsy kind of way.

And, lol, I will do the rest when I get back <3

[identity profile] ghost-bait.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
As for Luis, Miku likes him a great deal. He works a little too hard, and falls asleep at his desk sometimes, which concerns her. If she were a little more forceful, she'd probably push him to go to sleep more often, eat better, and generally take care of himself a mite better than he is now. But, considering her inability to do so, she can only strongly suggest that he rest and eat.

If she sticks around a little longer, expect Luis to start finding food and drinks and notes to PLEASE GO TO BED IN A PROPER BED, NOT YOUR DESK, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT at his table.

Miku is also really very thankful that Dr. Sera is helping Steve. For that, Miku would pretty much do anything to ensure Steve will be okay.

[identity profile] dearest-nehaa.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Nehaalista finds Luis a little strange, but she knows that "strange" is as par for the course for humans as "lost their mind" is for her own people. His love for what she sees as an Alchemical art is fascinating in action, which is why she readily agreed to donate her blood and tissue for his perusal.

He might never get to hit her, but if he can look up just a little bit (she knows it's hard, Luis), Nehaalista would willingly make a good friend. If a very quiet one.

[identity profile] in-venting.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherry is very fond of Luis. He's her dad's friend, he took the monster out of her and didn't make it hurt, he likes SCIENCE a lot more than her parents do. If she could, she would seriously just sit next to him and watch him work, and while right now she doesn't know every little thing, she knows she's smart enough to learn it and store it away for when she does.

When she's older and has more responsibility, she wants to help Luis. (She imagines that Cassie will still be cleaning test tubes or something at that point.)

With Steve, Sherry kind of feels weirdly awkward around him. He saved her from the zombies (and set himself on fire), but he also had big, creepy moon eyes for her mom which she did not appreciate in the least (because Claire is her mom, hers, back the heck off!). However, since then, he's gotten a kind of wimpy-looking girlfriend, and doesn't seem to be all over her mother like white on rice. When they talk, she's given him a little bit of grudging respect, because (like her) he's also gotten sick, too.

She thinks it's pretty cool that her antibodies help him, even if they can't fix them, though.

Sherry on Leon.

...and I don't think the rest of mine know any of yours.

[identity profile] in-venting.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Sherry loves Leon. She thinks he's been terribly strict (alright, alright, the Komali business wasn't her best idea...) lately, though. With his new position as Captain, Sherry knows Leon will be away more often. It isn't that she is necessarily hurt by this; she's done it before and wagers she'll likely have to get used to things like broken promises with full apologies and generally less time to spend with her father.

But, unlike her last father, she knows what he's doing is for the good of everyone, not for the good of stroking his own ego, and if Leon could do it, then he probably wouldn't be Captain at all. She knows he won't be letting up on his duties any time soon, and kind of misses using him as her leaning post when she reads.

And no, she still doesn't get why his eye twitches when she mentions Vega, but it is pretty funny.

Sherry on Aeneas? Only good things, I know.

And how about Nehaalista on Dustin?

[identity profile] dearest-nehaa.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Sherry feels like Aeneas is a creepy bug eater who eats bugs and... ugh. She just can't get behind that. As such, she'll probably go out of her way to avoid him. She feels her judgments on eating bugs are perfectly sane: if you've ever had to deal with a giant roach that was nearly as big as you are, then you'd understand.

For Nehaalista and Dustin... she care barely tolerate him. Even for a human there is so much puffed-up, wrongly placed (she feels) self confidence that everything belongs to him (she's still waiting on that deed, sir), that he is basically a slap in the face to Nehaalista's tenents of the Holy Light. He follows neither Respect or Compassion, which makes her feel a bit sorry for him, because with a little work, maybe Dustin could be more powered by the Light.

Still, that will not stop her from bringing her mace down on his head and cracking it like a ripe melon if he ever does anything to harm the members of the crew.

You saw this coming. Nehaa and Stephen.

[identity profile] dearest-nehaa.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Man, Nehaalista has some complicated feelings where Stephen is concerned. She appreciates that he speaks to her in sign, even though he doesn't necessarily need to. And sometimes some of what he signs is lost in translation as their styles are a little different, but that he tries to get his point across without words really means something to her. He's very kind and manfully avoids staring where his poor, diminutive human height puts his eyeline, which earns him some more bonus points.

On the other hand, he's human. And humans don't live as long, and burn out quickly in the length of a draenei's lifetime. She knows that someday, he will die and she will have no friend to rely on if they are stuck on this boat for thousands of years. Also, no matter what misplaced affection she has for him, it would be difficult for her to sleep with Stephen -- or any human -- because of her prejudices (Draenei men > Human men), much less cultivate any sort of skinship with him.

No doubt that too will wear down with time - let's just hope it's before Stephen kicks it.
