Alessa had been secretly pleased that Sasami had continued her magical education: she had already seen what both Negi and Evangeline could do. When it came to continuing her education there, Alessa was accommodating, even encouraging toward her work in the magical department: she still liked Nanoha and Vivio, after all. She could still remember their shocked expressions when she approached the department with black flowers for Sasami, looking as if she were going to a funeral.

Things like that still never ceased to amuse her.

"You do that," Alessa said, proceeding to the kitchen. The setup was strange, but also a comfort in its own way.

Sasami smiled as Alessa left, letting her change into her uniform. Alessa was always doing odd things, no matter what was going on. It was how she was, and that's how she always would be. She did remember the flower incident and the looking on Nanoha and Vivio's faces when she did. For the longest time, she'd still get stares from Vivio over it. It didn't matter, though...

A few minutes later, Sasami entered the kitchen, straightening up her uniform as she did. "I hope I didn't take too long...!"

Yes, Alessa did odd things, but no one could say they weren't deliberate: the demon girl was very complex, thanks to Sasami no longer pursuing an end to the life she had. She'd thought about ending it once and Sasami had freaked out, and Alessa had not understood why until Sasami patiently reminded her how she reacted when Sasami was in danger. It was one of the few times Alessa had actually been left speechless, caught in feelings she thought were not possible. In time, Alessa had let her want of time with Sasami be a reality to her, and it was why they shared a place now.

Honestly, she could not imagine staying alive without Sasami now.

As if to answer, Alessa pointed to the kitchen table where there were three fat sausages scrambled eggs, pancakes and a tall glass of orange juice.
