He's not one to take things for granted and the fact he's...well...Bonded, has a Bondmate, still often floors him. Such as days like this and so, he's quietly crawling out of bed to go have a kitchen adventure.

Why?

He likes spoiling certain people with food.

Poor Alessa was still getting used to having someone even make an attempt to dote on her. Hell, she would never even touch human food if Renne had not been so good at cuisine in general, that Alessa would actually crave his creations. She opened her eyes: still awake, never asleep, just resting. She arose, floating across the floor.

"What are you doing, Renne?"

"Rrrr-enne do coo-k."

Chirp. He's not entirely sure what he wants to cook yet, so he's open to suggestion.

"I see," Alessa said. "If you don't mind terribly, I would like a steak tartar. You know I prefer raw meat."

Yes, Alessa was always going to be scary, but there is a look she exchanges with Renne that no one would have expected to see from Alessa.

"How are you?"

"Rrr-enne do tha-t. Ahn-d k-lam chaow-derrr too."

Steak tartar and clam chowder. Odd mix but then, this is probably a quintessential "odd couple".

"Rrrr-enne be goo-d. 'Ess?"

"Sea food and meat. Yes, I think that will go nicely. Good idea."

She nodded. "I have a few more cities in my grip. People really are the worse...I suppose it is the reason i have always sought the company of those not human, or at least not the worse of them."

She shrugged. "That's my observation anyway. What do you think?"

"Eee. Rrr-enne noh trrrus-t Hew-mahns. Uh-sept foohrrr." Those four being Billy, Jamie, Stephen and Archie. "Tarrr-Tarrr noh be Hew-mahn, Rrrr-enne thin-k."

Chirp. Yep, he still has his insecurities aroun 99% of the human population to this day. Ah, well. He's already in his little rhythm of cooking.

"There were only three for me: Vivio, Nanoha and Rose. Rose was actually the reason I became strong: were it not for her, I would still be tethered to that existence in Silent Hill. But that Katara girl...she is a human simply one that was aware of manipulating nature around her. Still human, much like Nanoha and Vivio."

She watched him: she didn't have anything to do, and she could see the joy he got out of it.

"Rrr-enne noh kno-w the-m. Rrrrowse? Dohck-turrr Rrrrowse?"

That's the only Rose he knows, anyway. By the time the steak tartar's done, the oddity grins and manages to serve it with a bit of flair.

"Nanoha and Vivio are people on the ship. Rose was someone I knew back on earth. person...worthy of knowing. She was very dedicated to finding her daughter and saving her."

She stares at the food a moment, then takes a neat bite of the food. A slow smile formed on her face. "It's good."

"Oooh."

Hey Alessa, guess what. You have a blushing-bashful imp.

Alessa certainly didn't mind Renne blushing: in fact, she thought it was something that was actually a bit cute.

"Thank you," she said, stoically but not without any emotion on her face. "I really do like it."
