[After being forced to kiss Billy, yes Katara definitely knows awkward. Still, she could push that aside if it meant getting out of an enclosed space. What kind of strange tradition was this anyway, keeping people trapped in closets until they kissed? That was just weird beyond belief.]

Not Really.

[That kiss was better, more like what she'd been forced to do earlier. It was still Jamie, and she had an idea of who he would want to be kissing.

But no dice on the closet yet.]

[Katara'd not likely be far wrong on that particular idea, but since the person in question isn't here right now, it's a moot point. Jamie goes to try the door again, and rattles the handle in frustration when it doesn't open.]

Hey! We played your game, now let us out!

[After a moment, he lets go and turns his back to the door, sliding down to sit.]

Och, that's just great. Even GLaDOS let ye go after one kiss, let alone two.

[Katara sighed, settling down next to Jamie.]

Well now what then? We're still here.

Do we have to kiss again?

[It's starting to look like that might be the case.]

Aye, maybe so.

[He flicks a glance towards the Katara-shaped shadow, then shrugs and leans over to kiss Katara again. Third time's the charm, right?]

She had already known that this was the case, considering what happened earlier, but even she knew how Jamie might react to something like this, so she conveniently left that part out.

Still, getting out was getting out.

And this time she pressed back, wondering of maybe that was also what was needed: a mutual kiss that would last for a few minutes. It was awkward and annoying, but more so was being caught in a closet feeling like an idiot.

After all, it wasn't like Jamie was the most horrible person in the world to kiss, it was just strange.

[He, too, has gotten the idea that maybe the closet wants the kiss to go on for a few minutes. Jamie thinks of Katara as a very good friend, but doesn't believe the friendship would survive being stuck in a closet forever - so he obliges. It's still awkward, but things could have definitely have been worse. After what he thinks is a decent amount of time, he stops.]

Do ye want to try the door or should I?

[At this point, Katara is sure that the closet WILL let them out and, sure enough, she tries for the knob and is successful. She grins and kicks the door open, then motions to Jamie]

After you!

[Well, he was going to be gallant and let her go first, but since she's motioning, he'll take advantage of it, stepping just outside and grabbing hold of the door before it can swing shut again.]

Hurry up before they change their minds, aye?

[She did so, not even giving the closet a chance to change its mind. Once she was out though, she turns and gives Jamie a small peck on the cheek.]

"Thanks Jamie. I know that was awkward for you, AND me."

[He lets the closet door swing shut, and gives Katara a small smile.]

Well, it could have been worse.

"Yes, we could have been naked or something weird like that."

Hey, it happened before.

But before she goes, Katara gave Jamie a playful wink. "You're a pretty good kisser, Jamie. Are you getting practice from someone?"

[Jamie startles quite visibly for a moment.] What? Who would I be getting practice fr...

[Oh, wait. She's teasing him, isn't she? He pulls a bit of a face.] Heyyyy.

She grinned, and gave him a playful push. It was definitely something she did from having so many different male friends: the old Katara would never really have done anything like that. More likely that would have been Toph, and she would have been punching your arm, not pushing it.

"Just joking," she said, and offered her arm in a playfully gentlemanly manner. "So how are the rangers?"

[He'll take that with his usual good grace - which is to say, he looks grumbly for a few seconds longer, but takes Katara's arm anyway.]

Oh, aye, of course.

[Overall, the closet was odd, but he's not going to let it affect his friendship with Katara. So he'll walk with her and fill her in on things before they go their separate ways.]
