True. But would you rather the people you care about be sad or someone else?

....this human 'love' thing is very complicated. How do you ever manage to keep it all straight?

Picture yourself eating escargot instead, whenever the thought tries to occur to you. It serves a double purpose.

[identity profile] visserbasher.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
That's not an easy question to answer.

And you don't, at least not consciously. Like I said I've never really thought about it. It's... wait... did you say there were people you were willing to die for?

I feel like I'm going to throw up. Was that one of your purposes?

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
Of course it isn't. I rarely ask easy questions.

It's very hard to internalize an unconscious concept.

Yes, I did. Why is that surprising?

No, Loren. That is not my intent at all, he's not dead, and he never will be if you destroy the creature first, will he?

[identity profile] visserbasher.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
I don't even know why I'm trying to explain it to you.

Because you're... you.

Right. Because you know how easy it is to kill him. Well, I guess the Ohm did it.

[identity profile] notadamnangel.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe, but it'd still mean they don't have to go through that.

Oh, just a wee bit. [Read: quite a lot.]

And, aye, that's half the fun, going to new places. Ye might have to do a bit of running, though.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Because I asked and you're naturally informative of ignorance.

Yes, and? I am capable of affection and affinity for other sentient creatures, even loyalty if given a good reason for it. It is your human emotions I have difficulty understanding.

You also have the benefit of foreknowledge. You can use that to predict him, you even have someone on the ship from after he has been defeated. You could always lay a trap.

[identity profile] visserbasher.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
How you could possibly make friends I'll never understand.

Time travel always gives me a headache.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
I think it's my charming personality and intelligence. I'd say my good looks, but I think the human description of it is "EWWW, GROSS/SLIMY".

I think time travel gives everyone a headache. It's very poetic but very complicated. Just try not to blow me up if you do set a trap for him, I rather enjoy existence.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
And y'ain't found a proper mechanic yet? [ Gosh Jamie get on that. ]

...take it you get in trouble a lot.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Ain't that the truth.
bonnypiperlad: (oh aye of course)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2010-11-15 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
[And what do you think he's trying to do here?] The Doctor's very particular about who he lets touch the TARDIS controls. He'll not generally let us work them without his help, let alone try to fix them.

[He laughs for a second, then.] Oh, aye, ye could say that. I've lost track of the number of times we've been under arrest for something or other.

[ Point made. ] Ah, got it. Hey, can't blame him. Some folk are particular 'bout how their ships are handled.

Under arrest? Forgot how much of a delinquent you seem to be. "Outlaw McCrimmon..."

Hey! It's not my fault that we've gotten into a few wee scrapes from time to time.

Well, mostly.

[identity profile] veryshinyknight.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Prancing about in my drawers, thanks. Have you ever tried to sleep in armor? It's very uncomfortable!

[identity profile] veryshinyknight.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd rather die a glutton than cheeseless!

[identity profile] alterniantaurus.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think you may be right, on that point. In any case, I'm glad yours are fun, especially since, uh, you apparently spend so much time asleep.
morphitudinous: (...what in the name of)

[Holds out the sheet to her with a daring smile, then looks at Jamie]

He wouldn't kick me, Jamie...would he? I don't think he's the type to be amused by it, as that usage of the word 'kick' implies, but I'm sure he hasn't become that agitated.

Has he? We haven't spoken in a long time.

You'd better not.

[He wouldn't mind too much. He's just playing.]

Even if I am, I hope that you can have a fun dream sometime!

[until the squiddles happen]

fffffffff that icon <3

[identity profile] alterniantaurus.livejournal.com 2010-11-16 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, um, thanks. Maybe I will, next time!

psychicbear: (are you serious?)

[personal profile] psychicbear 2010-11-22 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Not by your rules, Yeerk.

... they'd be taken. Because then I'd be able to save them. I wouldn't be able to do that if I were taken, and we know your kind wouldn't leave them alone after I became one.

[identity profile] godbydefinition.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Admittedly a difficult choice.

I will have to choose to become the host, unfortunately. My chances of regaining my rightful superiority are higher, in that case.
