Billy stripped to his dry layers and sat, still rubbing for warmth under the blanket. He covered his head with the blanket and settled, only his eyes peeking out at her.
"It's very warm. We wear thin clothing for most of the year, and there are always green plants. It's all covered in concrete in the large cities, but we lived in a less densely populated area outside. To our west was the ocean, where we'd often spend a day at the beach. To the east was a desert where the Command Center was hidden. I grew up in a colder inland city, so it was a welcome change."
Was he really out in the cold that long? Hopefully the warming would get easier as he remained in the cocoon.
