The Morning After Meme!

1. Your character wakes up in a bed that isn't their own. Or maybe it is.
2. That person in the bed next to them though? They definitely aren't supposed to be there.
3. Soooo... what happened? What clothes are still on, if there is anything? And most importantly, what happens next?

[ She zips up her coveralls and turns awkwardly back to Jamie. ]

I don't know, just...it ain't hardly your fault, and I...I wouldn't want to have you put into somethin' awkward just for a practical joke...

[Well, as long as Dean or Kang doesn't kill him over it, it won't be so bad. And a small part of him thinks that it was rather better than that - at least before they woke up and the awkwardness set in. He firmly quashes that thought, however. No sense in going down that particular path right now.]

Aye, well, if ye happen to see my kilt down there, it'd be a wee bit less awkward.

[He gives her a smile to show he's mostly joking. It would be nice to be able to get out of the bed, though. And - hopefully - once he's dressed, Kaylee will feel a little better about things, too.]

[ That smile of his relieves all kinds of tension, and she lets out a weak laugh while she scans the floor. ]

Can't just wander about with the pillow?

[ His kilt is handed to him the moment she finds it, and Kaylee returns the favor Jamie granted her and turns her back to let him change. ]

I suppose so, but it'd be a bit drafty. [The shirt's not that long.] If ye want me to, however...

[The teasing doesn't stop him from re-wrapping the kilt about him as quickly as possible, though.]

There. Ye can look now.

"I-I'm not afraid of the dark! A-And I know that...! Besides, this ship wouldn't let that happen!" Sasami sputtered.

"Oh yeah? You wouldn't CHOOSE to do it for the good of everything?" The Overlord lifted his voice to a falsetto that wasn't anything like Katara's voice. "'My poor Matt is infected! He needs sex to survive! I'll have to infect myself, so it will only be with ME!'"

There's SUCH a wicked gleam in his eyes as he teases Katara. At last, the true extent of the Overlord's evil has been revealed.

"Are you sure?" Hit girl teased. "You cam admit it if you want, I won't make fun of you for it. Besides, how do you know that the ship would prevent that? All you know is that it'll stop bodily harm, right?"

Actually, Hit Girl knew for a fact anything sexual would be prevented too, but this was just to mess with Sasami some more.

Katara's eyes were blazing. "Whoever Matt had to do that with is his business! I'm not ready for anything like that, and the only time I was it was with..."

She trailed off, and for a moment, there were tears of frustration in her eyes before booting the book off the bed.

"Anyway, that won't happen! Quit thinking messed up scenarios!"

Aaaand here he is, upside down again. This is starting to become an unhappy habit.

"Wait, did you just tell the demon Overlord trapped in a book aboard a living ship to stop thinking messed-up scenarios? 'Cuz a sex virus seems pretty damn normal compared to that."

Well he keeps bringing it on himself!

"Then you don't have to add details!" Katara shot back. "Especially if they involve me or Matt having sex!"

"You call that details? Hyaa ha ha ha-"

The laugh ended suddenly as the book topped over onto its own face.

'Cause runnin' around in a skirt ain't drafty at all.

[ Look at that, she's teasing back. Once he gives her the okay, Kaylee turns back around and offers him tiniest of tiny smiles. ]

'M still...I mean...that shirt'a yours would've been gone if anythin' had happened, yeah? [ Searching for every possible bit of reasoning here. ]

"It's more than enough details," Katara said, not imagining how much worse it could get, fortunately for her.

While she would have been happy to laugh at Overlord for making her uncomfortable, she wasn't that mean to let him stay there long and righted him back up.

Well, the alternative was having him Invite a minion to right him. Did Katara reaaaally want that?

"Hey, at least waking up to me, you know I didn't do anything!" said Zetta ~~inadvertently pointing out how silly his presence in the meme was~~.

Katara wouldn't have cared if a minion came, so long as they didn't try to feel her up like the last time.

"If you had, you'd have more to worried about than the Ohm," Katara told him. "Trust me."

Hey, I'll have ye know it's a kilt!

[He's still got a joking tone to his voice, but sobers up when she turns back to him with that tiny little smile.]

Look, Kaylee, I'm telling ye nothing happened. But...aye. I'd not have had kept the shirt on if we...if we had.

[quietly] Ye know I'd not ever take advantage of ye like that, though, even if ye weren't with Dean.

Ah, right. Forgot, one's manlier'n the other, right?

[ She hadn't meant to insult him in any way, and the way his face changes like that makes her think she might have. Oh, leave it to Kaylee and her mouth... ] I know that, Jamie...

[He doesn't seem insulted by the kilt at all, and waves his hand dismissively.]

Never mind the kilt for now. Kaylee...

[Jamie places his hands just below her shoulders, turning her towards him if she'll let him.]

Dinna fash yourself so. It was a cruel trick that they played, but no harm's come of it. There's worse things that can happen than waking up next to a friend, aye?

[ Of course he's not going to let her just avoid the subject and move on. She grumbles a bit, but lets him turn her all the same.

When she opens her mouth to reply, though, she just kind of stops and blinks at him. ]

[She's sprawled out on her stomach, arm thrown over whoever's next to her. There may be snoring.]

[Have a cat on your chest. She is curled up in a ball.]
