DOUBLE MEME FRIDAY AW YEAH

The Morning After Meme!

1. Your character wakes up in a bed that isn't their own. Or maybe it is.
2. That person in the bed next to them though? They definitely aren't supposed to be there.
3. Soooo... what happened? What clothes are still on, if there is anything? And most importantly, what happens next?

Katara brought him up of course: she wasn't heartless. But she WAS angry.

"What were you doing in my bed, and what was with that 'lower' stuff?! How did you get here?"

"Hey, I thought you were doing something sexy!" Zetta clearly had no intention of pretending anything other than exactly what had happened, had happened. "I didn't know it was YOU. Haven't a damn clue how I got here."

He huffed a moment, then rolled his eyes. "And don't pretend you're indecent. I've seen more skin on a roasted chicken."

Wow, that was so NOT reassuring. In fact, for someone like Katara, it was downright insulting.

"What do you mean ME?! And how wouldn't you know how you got here?"

And wow, that was just earned you a Katara throwing you across the room. "Well good for a roasted chicken! Can a chicken do that?!"

The Overlord let out a yelp that ended when it bounced off the wall, and landed -- once again, upside-down -- on the floor, tipped up against the wall.

"I mean I don't know! You tell me how I got here! Maybe you picked me up while sleepwalking or something! Besides, when the hell did you start being irritated that you're not a sex object?!"

"I'm not throwing you because of that!" Katara said sharply. "I'm throwing you because you compared me to a piece of chicken! And just so you know, I don't sleepwalk!"

"Oh. Well, I was just saying, don't freak out. By Netherworld standards, you're dressed for winter weather!"

Considering what she'd seen of his minions, that's honestly probably true.

"I'm not freaking out...well, not anymore anyway. It was just startling. If its not a girl, I'd be freaking out anyway, especially if the first thing I hear when I start to wake up is 'lower, lower!'"

That was just SO not what she wanted to hear or even think about.

"Hey, like I said, if I'd known it was you I wouldn't have even thought anything like that!"

"Well good," Katara said, crossing her arms. "Because I remember you saying some pretty suggestive stuff when you were drunk the last time. I figure being an Overlord and a book doesn't mean you don't have, uh, urges."

"Can't DO anything about them, though," the book grumbled. Not that there was a damn person on the ship to do anything with even if he COULD. "But no offense, but I prefer to hit on people who can say the word 'sex' without turning red."

Unless he's drunk.

"I know that," Katara replied, trying to be sensitive about this even if it was the Overlord. "And hey, I'm only fifteen. I shouldn't be thinking about stuff like that anyway! These are the years where teenage hormones rage out of control!"

Or so she'd understood from what she's read in the media library, not to mention her own urges.

"You're about as raging as a sedated monk," Zetta scoffed. "But you've exceeded my expectations. You didn't turn red when I said 'sex.' There may be hope for you yet."

In an aside, he added, "...may be hope for MATT yet."

"I don;t turn red for something like that!" Katara said, happy that she could at least handle hearing about the subject now...thank you, Sheeana.

Well, until he said THAT.

"WHA-HA-W-we haven't even talked about something like that yet!" Katara sputtered "Is your mind wired to perversion?!"

"Hey, you're a guy, he's a girl, you're going out, what do you THINK is going to happen?"

Zetta grinned, then paused and frowned. "Don't even need to limit it to a guy and a girl. You're going out, you think it's gonna be chaste smooches and innocent hand-holding forever, Ms. Raging Hormones?"

"I THINK we're going to have fun going out and kiss and be happy! There is more to relationships than sex you know! We can have meaningful things that we do that maybe one day will lead to that."

Not that she hadn't thought about it a little, but she wouldn't let anyone know that. Hell, no one would even know how far she nad Aang almost went.

"I know that! If you ever met Fate and Nanoha, you'd know that any relationship can work. And my hormones aren't raging, ok! I'm...keeping them under control!"

"Hyaaaa ha ha ha ha!" Zetta has a lot of guesses, Katara. The book was looking at her entirely too knowingly. "If he tries anything forward too soon, kick his ass. I'd offer, but I don't need to."

Katara rolled her eyes. "Matt is a perfect gentleman Overlord, to the point that it would probably frustrate you. I've seen him when he cares about someone like that: its deep and its true with him. Without making you sick, I can tell you that if Matt and I ever wanted to go that far, he would never rush. It would happen naturally."

"Yeah, till a sex virus gets released or something," Zetta said. But then he adopted that familiar wicked grin. "But maybe you'll get yourself infected too!"

Katara opened her mouth for an angry retort, than thought about it. She would have said it was impossible for that to ever happen, but she'd been on this ship long enough to know that was completely NOT the case.

"Well then, it'll be stupid virus' fault!" She finally said.

"Oh yeah? You wouldn't CHOOSE to do it for the good of everything?" The Overlord lifted his voice to a falsetto that wasn't anything like Katara's voice. "'My poor Matt is infected! He needs sex to survive! I'll have to infect myself, so it will only be with ME!'"

There's SUCH a wicked gleam in his eyes as he teases Katara. At last, the true extent of the Overlord's evil has been revealed.

Katara's eyes were blazing. "Whoever Matt had to do that with is his business! I'm not ready for anything like that, and the only time I was it was with..."

She trailed off, and for a moment, there were tears of frustration in her eyes before booting the book off the bed.

"Anyway, that won't happen! Quit thinking messed up scenarios!"

Aaaand here he is, upside down again. This is starting to become an unhappy habit.

"Wait, did you just tell the demon Overlord trapped in a book aboard a living ship to stop thinking messed-up scenarios? 'Cuz a sex virus seems pretty damn normal compared to that."

Well he keeps bringing it on himself!

"Then you don't have to add details!" Katara shot back. "Especially if they involve me or Matt having sex!"

"You call that details? Hyaa ha ha ha-"

The laugh ended suddenly as the book topped over onto its own face.

"It's more than enough details," Katara said, not imagining how much worse it could get, fortunately for her.

While she would have been happy to laugh at Overlord for making her uncomfortable, she wasn't that mean to let him stay there long and righted him back up.
