"What wassat?" Nokosi pipped up, in a high-pitched voice. All he could make out was a red blob with a green something sticking out.

"Ouuww..." the pint-sized elf whined pitifully. His ears hurt a whole lot. Small, stubby fingers grasped at the earrings and baubles hanging there and he pushed underneath at his big, floppy ears to support the weight of all the jewelry.
