Hey, someone has to make sure the mechanics and engineers stay busy, right? He continues to slam dance, and anything in the way, aside from his compatriot in destruction is reduced to smaller component parts.

Yeah, this ought to be fun.

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, Hit Girl had no problem moshing. It was pretty much like fighting, except that it was with your body as a weapon. There was no doubt that she was going to be feeling this in the morning, and she knew the Overlord would be both approving and likely scold her for hurting herself.

She rushed toward her partner in crime and gleefully crashed into him.

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
He braces and lets her crash, serving as a pretty solid surface. The violent moshing draws a grin - definitely not going to be any scolding for a bit of gratuitous violent dancing and risk taking here.

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, she totally expected to crash pretty hard into him,and did so. Her nose was bleeding a little, and her body was definitely aching, but she was grinning from ear to ear. She got up again and continued using her body to crash and break objects.

Its a good thing the walls are durable, or they'd be hurting by now too as the two of them stomp around.

"Ok, remind me to get the lab geeks to rig up something. We have got to get some music in here. Been a while since you got a chance to dance and blow off some steam?"

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Damn right. She wouldn't have it any other way.

"Oh, I know Billy and stuff. He might be able to help with that. Kinda been aching for a little bit of death metal, you know? Just to get my blood moving."

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
"I knew we'd get along. You can introduce me to some of the helpful folks. We'll get something rigged up. If I can find the space and tools I can rig us up some new weapons too."

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
"You bet," Hit Girl said, grinning. "I'm curious: why did Stacy throw you on the ship anyway? I know she threw me here because I'm a bit more focused than your regular superhero, but why you?"

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Probably because me and my pack were a lot more proactive than a lot of folks at fighting off the end of the world. Didn't worry so much about all the rules and 'right' ways of doing things, and just got the job done. Well, that, and I kick a lot of ass."

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Hit Girl snickered. "Dude, you a total meat head. Stacy FUCKING needs you. They think they're gonna win this war with some of these people? Come on man...we need less political bullshit and more fucking fighters."

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
That draws a grin. "Fuck yes. They can sound pretty all they want, sooner or later, you still have to nut up and fight. Besides... I can be a good example for all the kids."

Oh yeah, that'd go over well.

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Hit girl laughed. "Fuck that. They want the kids hear holding fast to their youth. It's noble or whatever, but doing that is just going to make them targets. No kid should try for an innocent existence if they don't realize what the cost of that is."

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
"I knew I liked you. Yeah, I mean, its a good goal and all, but what's the good of making them all live in Barbie's funhouse if its going to raise a new generation of hostages?"

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"None," Hit Girl said, "and that why I'm making sure I train with the baddest and the strongest if I can manage it. I don't plan on getting taken out by those Ohm bastards easily."

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 12:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good. You can fill me in on what you know about them and their tactics so far, and we'll make sure you don't get taken out at all, let alone easily."

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't have a whole lot of intel on the Ohm," Hit Girl confessed. "Others on the ship, they've actually fought the bug aliens. It'd be better to try running simulations of those fights. So far, I've been toughing up with my partner fighting dragons and demons. Hell, we even took down King Koopa with our combined strength."

Well, just barely, but he didn't have to know that.

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"Dragons and demons, huh? Sounds like you're on the right track to me. Demons I've fought... not so many dragons. Sounds like fun though... I'd like to work with you and your partner though. I'm used to fighting with a group and playing the heavy for quick-hitters and some firepower. No matter what we're fighting, the better we get at group tactics, the better off we are. I'm not Kain... err... my own best friend... fucking master of small unit tactics, but I've learned a thing or two here and there from him. If we can't get intel on the Ohm the easy way... we'll get it the fun... err, hard way."

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"Its fun and work rolled into one," Hit Girl remarked, shrugging and getting herself up from crashing into another table. "But if you wanna do that, you talk to Overlord Zetta. He's the guy that's training us, making us get stronger. We're both going in the business of being Overlords ourselves, and now well have a way to do it. Hey, how old are you anyway?"

The other questions would come later.

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not near as old as I look. Its complicated werewolf shit. I'll have to meet this Zetta. I could care less about Overlord stuff, unless it involves getting some beer and whiskey in this place - but good to see what he knows too."

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-04 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Well that wasn't an answer. Oh well: she was sure she might find out some other time. "Nah, don't worry about that, the Overlord thing is me and Ruffnut's thing. Beer and whiskey you can get at the Drunken Dragon: Kang runs that place."

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-05 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, Kang seems interesting. I'll definitely have to hang out at that place some." he notices the curious look. After a moment of consideration his expression softens slightly. "Actually, I don't know how old I am. I was born as a guard dog in a wrecking yard. All I know is that it seemed like a long time on a short chain, being hit with sticks and half-starved to keep me mean. Since I changed... I don't know, several years anyway. Pure time-wise, you and your friend are probably older than I am."

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-05 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
"A guard dog?" Was this guy for real? Well,he was definitely strong, there was no doubt about that: all of the stuff they demolished was testament to that. "Wait, are you like, a changeling or something? Because that sounds pretty bad ass!"

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-05 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
He doesn't stop slam dancing, the form of it just changes a little as he demonstrates, first changing into a near-200 pound rottweiler, then further shifts into... well, its still a rottweiler, but its about the size of a grizzly bear... which is currently slamming into the walls and bouncing around her in time with the non-existent music.

A few moments later he shifts back, keeping with the rhythm.

"Yup, born 100 percent junkyard dog. Not a changeling - a werewolf. The ass-kicking, Earth-saving kind, not the 'eats people on the full moon' kind." he explains.

Re: 9

[identity profile] hit-girl-mindy.livejournal.com 2011-03-05 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
"That's AWESOME," Hit Girl declared, grinning. "I knew that there were some werewolves on the ship, but I didn't know that you could turn into a fucking rottweiler! That shit rocks!"

She bashed right back into him, grinning. "I didn't know that werewolves saved the Earth. How'd you get the ability? Just born with it or what?"

Re: 9

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-03-05 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Most of them turn into wolves. I'm just special that way. It does kinda rock, though honestly, I prefer this form for getting shit done. That hammer over there is a whole lot better at fucking shit up than claws and teeth are. No matter how big the teeth. But yeah, I was born with it. About... dunno, they estimate that maybe one in twenty kids that're born to a werewolf and someone with our blood, but not a shifter, becomes a shifter. the rest are called kinfolk - people who increase the chances of having shifter kids, but can't shift themselves. And... well, obviously we didn't save the Earth... yet anyway, but we were working on it. There's all a big story and stuff to it... but main point is we were made that way to be Gaia's ass-kickers... and then things just got bogged down in politics and everyone wanted to fight the war their way."
