I WISH
meme

Post with your character. Do not have them wish!
Respond to other peoples' characters with your own.
At any point during the resulting conversation, they must make a wish pertaining to that character
For example; such as "I wish you would kiss me", or "I wish you would dance naked".
The magic words are 'I wish'. As soon as those words are spoken, it will happen, whether the person wishes it or not

[Who is this pretty young arrowed thing? Maybe you should talk to her and find out!]

[Exactly what one inquisitive waterbender would like to know!]

"Um, hi!"

Hello! You must be from a water tribe.

[The lady with Aang's tattoos has put her hand on your shoulder, Katara, hope you don't mind!]

Re: Sister Nima (A:tLA airbender OC)

Well yes, I am. I'm Katara. Who might you be?

[Looks a little nervous, but is otherwise trying to keep a straight face.]

[identity profile] kungfu-sexnun.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
I'm Nima. I'm from the Eastern Air Temple.

[Big, bright smile. Please don't be nervous, water tribe girl! You are totally cute and Nima sort of wants to hug you. She probably will if Katara stops looking nervous at any point.]

Maybe some of my brothers or sisters have visited your tribe? I visited the Water Tribe once by accident. A blizzard chased me right into a northern village.

[And right into the beds of a few hunters. Somebody was very curious about how Water Tribespeople keep warm during those long, VERY long, winter nights.]

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
The Eastern Air temple?? But I thought there were no more Airbenders. How can this be?

[She is looking less scared, more confused now, especially because those symbols looks very much air temple-ish.]

Just one: Aang, the Avatar. There were no other airbenders in my time. I'm from the Southern Water Tribe. My name is Katara.

[identity profile] kungfu-sexnun.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
No more -

[Now Nima lifts her hand from Katara's shoulder, looking slightly confused. It would make sense if she were from a very rural tribe that couldn't be reached easily, even by nomads, but -]

I . . . I don't think I understand you. I think you might be mistaken. There are lots of airbenders.

[Aang, Aang - was that the name of one of the air nomad Avatars of the past, before Yangchen? Perhaps no air nomads or Avatars had contacted her tribe since - but that would have been hundreds and hundreds of years ago. That's a very long time for ANY tribe to go uncontacted by any air nomads at all.]

Avatar Roku has been our Avatar, but he passed away only two years ago. We expect the new Avatar to be one of our children, but we haven't identified them yet.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
In my time, yes. Avatar Roku passes away, and the next Avatar is Aang, an airbender boy who is somehow able to freeze himself for a hundred years, where there is a great war that results in all of the airbenders being killed off and the rest of the world fighting off the Fire Nation.

But this is in my time. It is possible that your timeline and mine are different.

How are things in your world?

ffff do not have icon for this

[identity profile] kungfu-sexnun.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Give her a minute, this is big news.]

I - that would - why would he -

[Wait, that last part was a question. Maybe this will work out better if Nima approaches the conversation from that angle.]

Well . . . Avatar Roku just died. My friends in the Earth Kingdom used to worry that Sozin would try to - to retake the colonies, whether or not Avatar Roku allowed -

[Nope, Nima's speechless again. If Katara's just told Nima her future, she doesn't like it very much. The shock is really starting to sink in.]

ALL of the Air Nomads? Except for Aang?

Re: ffff do not have icon for this

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. And Sozin starts by attacking on the day of a comet coming, when the Fire nation is at its strongest, and they wipe out the air nomads, all of them, except for Aang. Avatar Roku couldn't stop him because he was dead, and so the war started after what became known as Sozin's comet: when the Fire Nation military slowly started to take over parts of the world. They whittle down the Southern Water Tribe to scattered villages, and are slowly starting to take over the world.

When Aang, the Avatar and last Airbender returns, that's when we start to fight back. Me and my brother join him in his quest to restore peace to our world and defeat the Firelord, the latest in line to try and topple our world.

[identity profile] kungfu-sexnun.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
[A comet . . . all that violence, all that senseless loss of life, all of her brothers and sisters and the children and the elders . . . and then the water tribespeople, her friends in the Earth Kingdom colonies . . .

The world is going to fall so out of balance.

And then Aang, a little boy, will be all that's left of the air nomads - a little nomad alone in a big, unbalanced world, that he has to fix all by himself -

Nima starts sobbing.]

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
[She reaches over, offering a hand around the girl's shoulder. She understands this pain: its the pain of many of her people, of the ones who lost loved ones in this war, of even her, who lost her mother.]

It does, for a long time. The Firenation is viewed as a place with thugs and murderers, and the people they terrorize at times become victims of their own anger and pain. I know, I've been there.

But Aang is not alone, I promise you that. We, my brother and I, look after him, and later there are others that join him in helping to bring peace to the world. It takes a long time to make things better, and there is pain on all our parts, but believe me, we never let Aang suffer alone. His pain is all of ours.
