Wishes are seldom achieved without disproportionate sacrifices. Or, at least, violence.

There's a difference between a wish and a goal, of course. Wishes are what one expects for nothing and always ends up paying heavily for. Goals are things you work towards from the start.

Doesn't sound like there is much difference between the two. A wish becomes a goal once you start trying to achieve it. I suppose there are some wishes that can't become goals though.
