W-well y-yeah I guess, but since we b-both go into work early and leave late it's n-not always possible... Which is why our nights are s-special...

You know, you're definitely stuttering an awful lot, Ronnae. Are you sure you're not nervous about something else?

N-no! Why would I be nervous about anything else? Nothing's w-wrong yup, everything is normal and well behaved.

"Uh huh." Katara was clearly not convinced. You are a bad liar Ronnae.

"You definitely know more about this adult stuff." Katara said, sounding envious. "I sort of wish you could explain it without feeling embarrassed."

Her blush faded slowly as she looked at Katara curiously.

"You're right, you're my friend after all." She smiled warmly and sat down with her. "What do you want to know Katara? I'll answer to the best of my ability." She smiled sincerely.

Well that was pretty surprising. She was actually not going to press the issue, considering how Ronnae reacted to this sort of the thing, and she was volunteering? Well, she'd better take advantage of this opportunity and ask.

"So you and Billy have definitely gone...the way." Try as she might, there were still things that made Katara blush. "How did you know it was the right time?"

She looked at her for a moment before smiling happily.

"Where we intimate? Yes oh yes and it was wonderful." She mused happily, not showing any embarrassment. "To be completely honest? It just feels like the right time. And when with the right person, it's very clear. Not to be confused with sex of course. Making love is very very different, and the feeling is noticeable. I've been intimate with my sisters before, and it never felt like this."

Yeaaaaahhhh you opened a side of her that has no qualms speaking her mind.

Ok, that was definitely a lot to take in.

"That sounds...wonderful, she said dreamily. "I had a feeling that the time for you two would come, and it would be as amazing as you hoped. I'm so glad that you two were finally able to share something like that with each other, the way that you wanted it. And...um, intimate with your sisters? What do you mean?"

Yeah, she's just starting to see exactly how much Ronnae could open up.

Yup, you opened a very very closed and guarded gate.

"Well, like I confided in you, my family believed in not limiting love and physical affection and thus have no shame in showing others just how much they mean to them as long as there's strong feelings behind it. Sometimes my sisters would get really affectionate, and one thing would lead to another."

She smiled happily remembering good times with her sisters.

Hmm. That had to be, without a doubt, one of the strangest ideas she had ever come across, and she was definitely from a family that cared very deeply for each other.

"That's definitely different," Katara said, trying to be honest about her reaction. "It's not something I think would ever work with my family, of course. We're both very different, my brother and I. Even thinking of being that way with Billy..." She shivered. "I guess what throws me off is being that way with a girl, though really, being that way with anyone is still pretty crazy to me."

She giggled nervously.

She shrugged not bothered by her reaction at all.

"It's not something everyone practices really. It's pretty unique at least the way we were taught. It certainly built a really strong bond between everyone." She smiled fondly remembering more of her family. She turned to Katara and gave her a thumbs up. "Anything else you're curious about Katara?"

Well, that was comforting. She had hoped she hadn't alienated her friend.

"Where I'm from, our bonds are built with our interactions with each other. But when it comes to someone you care about, someone you love, its special. It's something that just happens, like you and Billy, and with that person, everything just feels right. For me, its always been one, and its Aang. I don't know if I'll ever experience that with him again, but...I can hope, can't I?"

"Hope's a powerful thing. I'm sure you will experience it. Tho it might or might not be with him. You have to be open about the fact that things might not go back to the way they were. People are different and will react differently to similar situations. What you hope for might not be the same they hope for in return."

She placed a comforting hand on hers and smiled affectionately. "Of you being able to experience it again I'm sure. Why wouldn't you? You're an amazing girl. Strong, confident, loving and smart. You have strong leadership qualities and have a big heart, not to mention you're very pretty."

She sighed, looking a little downtrodden. "But I wanted t to be with him: I've always wanted it to be with him. The one thing that was a sure thing on the ship was that he was here, and that soon I'd be able to be with him, finally. But I underestimated how much we would have to go through, just to get to that point. I just want what we never got to have: its only fair."

She took Ronnae's hand, smiling. "I hope so. I know I have a lot of love to give, and the person who I love will get my undivided attention. But thank you for saying those words...I can see what Billy would see in you, and you area very attractive girl."
