"No, Rory, you're doing it wrong."

With a small huff, Amy reached up to loosen the tie around Rory's neck and to readjust the large woman's dress shirt they had taken out of her aunt's closet. Once she was mostly satisfied, she jumped back onto her chair and motioned for Rory to sit across the table, in front of the very large bowl of custard. Rory complied, with the look of a completely doomed and defeated man, and stared down at the now-cold fish sticks next to the bowl.

"Now, try again."

"Spit it out."

"You ah. To the..."

"...Rory Williams, if you're asking me out, you're doing an awful job of it."

"Yes. No--yeah..."

"So you are."

"...yes?"

"Alright then. Movie, dinner, I pick your clothes?"

"I--"

"Good. Seven o'clock, don't be late."

"But. Oh alright."

Amy tugged unhappily at the cuffs of her sweater, angry glare directed at the Doctor and his smug little self. At least Rory was suffering too, now, that was something, but the Doctor's little whistles were enough to drive that small bit of satisfaction right out of her. It wasn't her fault skirts were distracting, nor was she to blame for Rory's wandering eyes. Well, maybe she was, but she'd already admitted it once, and like hell was she going to admit it again.

Rory, though...

Trying not to smile too much, Amy pushed off of the wall she'd been leaning against, careful to make just enough noise to gain her husband's attention, and proceeded to slowly strip the baggy sweater off. Skirts may have been banned, but the Doctor hadn't said a thing about shirts. He would in the space of about a minute, she was sure, but it didn't mean she couldn't get her last word in beforehand.
