"Zetta..."

The Overlord heard the voice and spun (or rather, had his minion spin him around). No, he hadn't misheard. There, in front of him, stood Salome. Salome, former disciple of the Overlord; Salome the traitor.

"It's been so long."

"Salome..." The book shut his eyes, then looked away from her. "So. You're here. I thought you were dead."

"Of course not," Salome said. "Do you really think a little thing like the Ohm could kill me? You trained me, after all, Zetta." She scrutinized him, then smiled. "You haven't changed at all."

"That isn't funny, Salome," Zetta snapped. "So you're going to laugh at me?"

"I wouldn't do a thing like that, Zetta. You know me better."

"I don't know you at all! You're the one who left me, remember?!"

Salome looked away, this time. "You neglected me... was a second of your time really so much to ask? I cared so much for you, but all you cared about was being stronger..."

Zetta frowned. "Of course I wanted to become more powerful. I'm an Overlord. I don't see what the problem was. And --" The book stopped. Something had been bothering him for a while now, and he finally had realized what it was. "What the hell happened to your mana power?"

"I've fallen ill," she said, not meeting his eyes. "Why? Are you concerned?"

"I'll say!" Zetta growled. "What a waste! I thought I trained you better than that!"

"Always so cold, Zetta. Don't you love me?"

"I'm an Overlord! Were you expecting me to comfort you tenderly or something?!" Zetta's minion turned as the book huffed. "Nothing's changed, Salome. Your mush is starting to make MY mana power feel weak. "
