IC beauty pageant meme!

1. Post images of your characters! If your characters don't have images, high-larious descriptions are more than acceptable.
2. People ICly grade them from 1-10 (1 = lowest, 10 = highest).
3. Child characters are applicable. In the...kid's division, or something. LET'S NOT BE SKEEVY ALL RIGHT?
4. ???
5. No profit, unfortunately.
6. Oh yeah REACT THUSLY ICLY and all that
7. Stolen from capeandcowl!

[Whoa, seriously?] ...Thank you.

Yeah! I like your choice of clothing in the last one!
everdistant_utopia: (Poker face)

Ah. That is what I typically wore as king.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Oh?

I didn't know women could be kings.
everdistant_utopia: (So effin' zen)

[personal profile] everdistant_utopia 2011-04-16 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Not under normal circumstances. But my people would not accept a woman as a ruler, and so I cast aside my womanhood and masqueraded as a man to become their king.

Cast your womanhood...

And you were fine with this?

If it was to ease the suffering of my people, I would bear any cost to myself.

However, I had not been raised as a girl to begin with... I had been training as a knight since birth.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
I see. That is very brave of you, to put the needs of your people against your own.

Oh, so you had to be a boy to become a knight as well?
everdistant_utopia: (Follow me lads!)

[personal profile] everdistant_utopia 2011-04-16 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I could not ignore them, not when it was within my power to save them.

Yes. I would have had to disguise myself as well had I been a knight in service to a different king.

I know what you mean. If I had to do that, I would too.

That makes me wonder what places would be like if women could do things they wanted, as men do.

In some ways, men are more enslaved then women; they must go to war when called, even if they had lived as peasants their entire lives.

Perhaps it is but a dream, but I wish for a world where all may live in peace.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-04-17 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
In my world, men or women, everyone can be called to war whether they want or or not. It depends on how strong their resolve is. But restricting what we can do to "protect" us is not going to help anyone, just stifle what we can do.

An impossible dream I think of too.
