Re: Eva
Re: Eva
Complicated]
I was rather hoping you'd at least have the sense of have a few ginger hairs in there.
[He pokes at his eyebrows. Compared to his own body, Eva has great big eyebrows. The Doctor leaps at Eva in his body, trying to rifle through his own pockets for a mirror] Hold still, there you are!
Re: Eva
Re: Eva
Pocket mirror. Try searching past the books and the shovel collection. Or was it the spoon collection? I was always rubbish at remembering to collect the spoons, so it's not a very good collection.
You'll have to excuse it.
[Apparently he hopes by just nattering away that he can put Eva at ease.]
Re: Eva
Re: Eva
He has to say, looking back on himself, that bowtie and tweed look excessively brilliant today. Don't mind the Doctor admiring himself. ]
You do have a lot of hair, don't you? [Peers in the mirror and runs his hand through her very not ginger hair]
Re: Eva
Be careful with that body, alright? It's got some wear and tear on it. Be careful with the shoulder and left leg.
Re: Eva
[ Those were the days. You think all those lives and he would’ve gotten the ginger part right. The Doctor turns as Eva points out the problems and really, he’d been too distracted by her single human heart to notice what was really rather obvious once you got down to it. The Doctor reaches out to touch the shoulder in question, trying to peer over it, and it seems as if he’s trying to be as limber and rubbery as he would in his own body. ]
You’re right. You know, this could probably be fixed. [ Or at least he thinks so. TARDIS medical bay, easily. Even a backwater asteroid port should have something for this ]
Re: Eva
[She does feel...rather flexible. Moreso than she felt in her own body. Is this a second heartbeat she's hearing? She brings a pale hand to her chest, trying to figure it out.]
I've already had it taken care of by incredibly advanced alien technology. I was hamburger meat when they first put me back together. That I can use those body parts at all without a limp is a testament to their skill. [She tests out his right leg, having long forgotten what it's like to have full mobility.]
Re: Eva
[ That most certainly is a second heartbeat. She'll find she's overall superior to a human in most aspects, all topped off with marvelous hair and a fantastic sense of what counts as "cool". Eva, you couldn't have picked a better person to switch bodies with...unless you went with Donna Noble and got a chance at being ginger.
He recommends trying ginger.
The Doctor tests the leg, mirroring Eva. Well, he supposes in that case, the work is rather impressive. It doesn't quite seem like it's loose in the femur like Karis' and he hates to say it, but Eva's leg smells loads better than the zombie's rotting one. ]
Lucky you. So, bit of a leg here but all things considered, it's not a bad leg, is it?
[ He looks up at Eva/Doctor's face ]
Re: Eva
[She shakes her - his? - head.] No, my body's fine, considering everything. Yours is...
[She twists at the waist, stretches his arms, cracks his neck.] Bendy. Flexible. Very healthy, from what I can feel, except I feel like I'm having arrhythmia with these double heartbeats. I know you don't drink, but what do you eat?
Re: Eva
[ He watches as she has a go at his body. It's weird to watch someone shorter and...well, more female-y playing around with it. Clearly they ought to body swap more often. ]
You'll get used to it and then you'll wonder how you ever managed with just one. [ Oh, right. Eva, big fan of drinking and naps under the table, he supposes. He makes an absent gesture like he wants to straighten his tweed jacket's lapels, only to realize he doesn't have any in Eva's body. ] Me? Oh, all sorts of things. Fish custard's a favorite.
[ He keeps playing with his new longer hair. It might not be ginger, but having it long is much more fun than he expected. ]
Re: Eva
[She understands his compulsion to play with his lapels. She's already fidgeting in his body a lot more than he ever did. She reminds herself not to bite down on his lips or pick at his cuticles, as they may switch back soon and that would be rude.] I like empanadas. And curry.
Re: Eva
Curry, now there's an idea! Could you make curry from Stacy's sludge? [ He's fussing with her hair, still wishing it was ginger or that he could improve it and make it ginger. But that's cheating and anyway, it still wouldn't be really ginger, would it? At the very least he's interested watching Eva twitch about in his body. He hopes she feels as cool in it as he does, even without a proper hat. ]
Re: Eva
You can use the Sensoriums to make pretend curry. It's better than no curry. Though I don't know if it would agree with these taste buds. I hear our tastes are ingrained since birth.
[She's not comfortable at all in this body, but she's hardly comfortable in her own, so that shouldn't be surprising.]
