I s'pose, but I'm still glad it's basic. He's a taskmaster and I still have practices to go to! [Drama practices are less exacting, but Allie is still the type to throw herself into it. Reimi knows this because Allie has watched her train for archery events--and probably has tried to do it with her, a bit. Alongside the dance classes.]

Your last tournament go good? I didn't hear anything, so I figured no news was good news!

Second place. I messed up on the last shot because I had strained my arm the night before when I tripped over Edge. [She grumbles about that.]

Good! I'm doing okay in botany--always better in the practical classes than theory, but that's the way things go, I guess. Drama's always good, but I guess that's why it's my major, right?

[Then she thinks of something and rolls her eyes.] Classes are good, but my dad wants me to come home to Texas and try doin' another pageant. I keep telling him no, but...

I just wonder if he misses me, and that's what's going on.

Oh lord. It can run in the family all he likes, but if you aren't eligible for the training you don't go up! Or is he trying to maneuver you into getting training like Daddy's tryin' to get me to do pageants?
