Second Chance Meme!

Okay, rocks fell, everyone died. Too bad, valiant meatshippers! But the good news is that you've all be reincarnated!

...as baseline humans on modern Earth.

Maybe you're waiting at a coffee shop, and you spot someone out of the corner of your eye that looks strangely familiar. Maybe instead of strangers from universes far apart, you and your close CR are now childhood friends who have always been together. Maybe you meet a former enemy as a friend, or a former friend is now a bitter enemy.

Are you a college student? A high-powered lawyer? A kindhearted schoolteacher?

What would your life have been like had you been born under different circumstances, and you met your fellow crew once again? If you had a second chance? Would you still fall into the same habits, be a victim of the same misfortunes? or would you use the opportunity to be someone completely different?

1. Post with your character, or tag someone else.
2. Set up the scenario you want to explore!
3. ???
4. Meme!

Aww yeah night class BUDDIES.

Garreth may be pursuing a degree in library science, but that involves reading absolutely everything, especially historical things involving warfare. Kang is one of the few students Garreth can talk to about these pieces of literature from a soldier's perspective.

And fortunately for Kang, Garreth has a high-school age daughter who makes an excellent babysitter. And when Angela isn't available, the library is a good second home, bad neighborhood or not.

The state fair was in town, and that meant that everyone from that county and the neighboring ones filled the fairgrounds, with smaller kids running around everywhere and teenagers traveling in packs. Kang and his family, of course, was also there, and at the moment, the daughters were off getting their faces painted with their mother.

Glad for the short break from them (they were very enthusiastic about fairs), he walked around the rides, hands in his pocket. Off in the distance, he saw a familiar face, and made his way over, smiling, "Garreth, I thought I'd see you here. Is Angela off with her friends?"

"She's with the boys. I think someone mentioned funnel cake."

Garreth is in a good mood. In his busy life of studying, librarian-ing, mentoring his younger brothers, and writing angry letters to senators who make all these things difficult, this is what he likes best: spending an afternoon with his family, for no purpose but for everyone to have a good time, the kids enjoying themselves together and only a few more minutes to wait before his girlfriend finishes her shift and joins them.

"How's your family? Keeping entertained?" Garreth assumes Kang isn't here by himself.
