It's Friday and we need a Meme - Random Costumes Meme!

The Sensorium Clothing Malfunction Meme

Just a typical day on the meatship WHEN SUDDENLY your characters in the sensoriums get switched to different outfits that they were wearing before and can't seem to change them back! What happens if someone else comes in? What happens if more than one person comes in? Will they be affected too?

1. Comment with a character
2. The commenting person either picks from the list, or uses RNG (1-30) to pick from the list.
3. The commenting character is now wearing that.
4. The other character rolls or picks as well and is now wearing the number they got.
5. You pick the situation of how this all happened and go forth and CR away!
6. Reroll for each new post you get and most importantly...
7. HAVE FUN!

Your choices are (keep in mind the images are just to give you an idea they don't have to be exactly the same!):

1 - Angel and/or demon
2 - Private School Outfit
3 - Pirate
4 - 1920's Flapper / Gangster (props such as guns and cigarettes are up to the player)

Kaya looks down at what she's wearing.

"Well. This is weird, but I sort of like it too."

7---really, rng?

Billy has a look too---it's familiar, and he approves. It's certainly better than what he got. A cloth tied around the waist sweeping to the floor and decorated in gold, simple sandals, and a laurel wreath.

"It's a uniform from one of my world's schools. I attended a less prestigious school that didn't have a uniform, but they're considered popular. Something about the look is appealing."

Unlike this ensemble straight out of a famous sculpture.

Kaya twirled a moment and the skirt flared out. She giggled: it was weird, but somehow she liked this outfit! It was easy to move in, and somehow she thought she looked more professional.

"Your outfit is nice too though!" Kaya exclaimed, chuckling. "You look like someone from days long past, I think. That outfit could be something like a robe!"
morphitudinous: (...what in the name of)

Billy looked skeptical. "I know, I've seen sculptures dressed like this---as a modern exaggeration of life in ancient Greece. It's awkward, though."

He's just shuffling to and fro.

"Well I like it!" Kaya said. "It makes you look, I don't know, grander somehow, like you're the like of the party somehow. And I like the things in your hair too! Is it hard to move around in, that costume?"
morphitudinous: (Silly)

"It might be. Let me see..."

Billy tries walking. It swishes above his ankles, and running is a little awkward, but he can manage. He's just left feeling a little awkward, poking at the laurel crown.

"Yours looks more convenient."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Kaya laughed. "Well I have to admit, I do like mine a bit. It osunds conceited, but I think I look a little cute in this. But you look pretty good in that too, believe me! Come on."

She walked over, and took his glasses off, then reached up and patted his hair down. "See? now you look like the life of the party!"

"It's true, though," Billy said quickly. He tilted his head when he found his glasses snatched from his face, adjusting to the blurriness of the room. The sensorium didn't seem to be responding to many requests today, but it surprisingly complied with his wish to summon an invisible corrective visor. There.

"You think so?" he asked as he made his second request---a mirror. They could see themselves more clearly, and he had to admit that she had a point. Straightened out, with his defined features and visible muscles, he did somewhat resemble the subjects of those works of art.

"As long as I don't have to dance. I'd rather not receive compliments on my 'dress'."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
She nodded. "Yes, I do think so. And for me, well, I've never thought about it, but I really wish I had the opportunity to go to a school like this, you know?"

Kaya observed him. "You've definitely gotten stronger, Billy. Pretty soon, I'd say you should start learning more advanced martial arts."
morphitudinous: (A majestic unicorn?)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2011-08-27 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Billy had never heard this before. "I think you would have liked it. How did you learn at home?"

That comment brought the self-consciousness right back. When he asked another question, he was looking faintly pink. "You think I can do it?"

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-08-28 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
"We just learned a bit in out tribe," Kaya admitted. "Hunting, fishing, and those were the things that the boys learned. We girls learned homemaking, looking after children and then our own, sewing, cooking, that sort of thing. Once I traveled to the other nations you can imagine the culture shock! There was so much we could have been knowledgeable of, had we the ability to not be sequestered in the North Pole. But to resist the Fire Nation, we had to be closed off."

She smiled. "Oh come on Billy: you and I both know the answer to that. Ronnae can be doubtful of her own abilities, but by now you've been through a lot and lived. Do you really think you're incapable of learning something like advanced martial arts?"
morphitudinous: (Figuring it out)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2011-08-28 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
"It must have been," Billy agreed. Knowledge had never been denied to him, but he knew how frustrated he would have been if he'd had those limits imposed. Kaya would always buck them, of course she knew more now. "You've learned so much since then, haven't you?"

He looked down, considerng that...then nodded Yes. It was going to be okay. "It'll be rough, like always, but I'll do my best."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-08-28 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes, I have," Kaya said. "In my world, with all of the nations, where we lived was so fundamental to us it could only be divided into nations: unlike other places, we had no name or real concept of it as a world that should be named, so the idea of there being different planets, realities, was in itself in conceivable. All of the things I've learned too, would be contrary to what we have been taught as far as my place in the village, and even as a waterbender. I found, though, the best way to take in new concepts is immersion, and then readapting the principles that make me who I am. I will always be a waterbender, and I carry their strength with me, no matter what happens."

She smiled. "Of course it'll be rough. Any training worth it is, right?"
morphitudinous: (Adorkable's the word)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2011-08-28 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's...wow, I can't even imagine it. You didn't have a name for the planet---I guess it's strange because I've been interested in other planets since I was a child. When you looked at the stars, then, what did you see?"

Billy remembered some of their more 'worth it' training sessions with a smile and little wince. "Yeah, of course. As long as I get to recover eventually."

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2011-08-28 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"I guess it would seem strange to someone else who knows about the existence of other worlds," Kaya said. "For us, it was our world, so it didn't really need a name. If its all you know, your entire existence, you don't really need it to have a name, you know?"

She laughed. "Like I said before, nothing worth learning is going to be easy!"
