So! Al has a problem and I'm sure many of you share the same problem.

So many muses to pick from, only one spot to app with!

And so here's the game

Nuon almost marched past the silly human with the giant 'R' emblazoned on his chest, but something stopped him. Well, now was as good a time as any to show this boy what true fear was. He threw his mantle back over his shoulder, allowing it to ripple dramatically in the breeze.

"Prepare for trouble!" he announced, giving James an intimidating glare.

...oh, but wait. His usual partner wasn't here.

James responded in a typically mature and clever manner.

By blowing a fat raspberry at her and making a face.

James's eyes flashed and he felt a chill, fallowed by a burning sort of fire in his gut.

Slowly, his eyes hidden by his bangs he tilted his head up, "What...did you just say?" Her spoke slowly and carefully.

He wasn't going to acknowledge his mistake! No, sir!

"I said, 'prepare for trouble'!" Nuon said, folding his arms over his chest in a show of defiance.

There was a sort of twisting in his gut, a mix of guilt and anger and frustration and confusion, like this stranger was mocking his separation from his team!

"Make it double." He declared with venom uncharacteristic of the normally easy going whimpy member of Team Rocket. Wheezing and Growlie stood on either side of him defiantly.

Harley was awfully slippery for a human. The question was, did KOS-MOS want to pursue her further?

An alarm went off, and Stacy's voice sounded, requesting that all battle crew report to the Hangar. After a moment of hesitation, KOS-MOS lowered her weapons, turning back down the opposite direction Harley had gone. She'd have to wait for another time.

What?! How could this pathetic human know The Motto? Only he and two others knew The Motto!

Nuon took a step forward. "To protect the world from devastation!" he announced in a bold voice. Clearly this had to be some fluke.

The first line could have been a fluke but the second?

"To unite all peoples within our nation." James took a step forward and his eyes blazed passionately. These were words he lived by! His mantra!

What was even going on? Was this man an Evil Understudy?

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" he said, refusing to back down from the challenge.

"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James threw his gloved hand in the air with dramatic flourish grasping for the heavens. Deciding to help Growlie howled and shot sparks of flame above James that exploded like little fireworks.

Gasp! "Well Ah've never... Team Rocket mah tail! Hmph!"

And thus she turned tail and stomped away.

"Nuon!" he cried, snapping his fingers as a bolt of lightning struck the ground near him.

"James!"

Wheezing stepped in next spewing out some smog for dramatic effect and keeping it low and rolling along the ground so James looked like a rockstar with a broken smoke machine.

"Team NEUTRO™, blast off at the speed of light!"

...wait. Was that right?

You could almost hear the tires screeching in James's head as he took a step forward to strike the pose and say his lines...only to fall forward into a stumble as he cried out "Team WHOTRO!?" He sounded hurt, betrayed, and all manner of confused.

"Aha!" Nuon pointed an accusatory finger at James in triumph. "I don't know know who you are, imposter, but you're clearly no henchman of Lady NEUTRO™'s!"

"I...but you...WHO ARE YOU CALLING AN IMPOSTER!?" James roared all that heat he had been building from the motto seeming to burst out of his slender chest like a volcano. "You're reciting Team Rocket's official motto! Trademarked and copyrighted!" Actually James wasn't sure that was true but it sounded good.

He nodded slowly, knowing that he should have expected the answer but disheartened for allowing himself the hope anyway.

At least Kaylee had not-Jayne company in his absence. "Right. So if they're here now, the rest of us have to be."

"Us" of course, meaning the remainder of the crew, River included. Looking for reassurance from Jayne was probably not the smartest move, but hey, a familiar face was a familiar face.

Now there was a voice he'd been wanting to hear. Simon turned to the source of the sound, relief washing over his face not unlike when he'd first fallen out of a pod, naked and covered in snot.

"Kaylee!"

He closed the distance in no time at all, but stopped just short of any physical contact, looking extremely exasperated as he came to a halt. "I...the test chambers. I'm sorry."

"Nice shooting," Karis comments as she peers over his shoulder.

Oh, hi, Rick.

"I second the disembodied voice, kiddo," Karis wise-cracks as she makes her away across the observation deck.

Yes, that's a zombie.

"I swear, half of you damn fresh meat spend half the time staring out at the bleed. It's like a damn habit."

He didn't have to do much more than mention the test chambers for her to understand. That was Simon, coming toward her, looking halfway excited to see her--

And stopping just out of reach, as he always did. Welcome to the norm.

"Was wonderin' what'd happened to ya. Figured you'd been repodded like everybody else." She grinned, giving him a good once-over to make sure GLaDOS had left him in one piece. "Good to see she finally let you out. We're close to gettin' the whole crew back together, we keep going at this rate."

It was a noticeable enough shift for Sandry to follow, and it made her smile all the more. Rosethorn was Rosethorn, no matter the setting.

"Not completely," Sandry agreed, more than a hint of amusement in her own voice. "I've actually been pleasantly surprised at the number of intelligent individuals on this ship."

Rosethorn made a small, non-commital noise that probably passed for acquiescence. "No gardeners among them though, it appears."

"Not so many that I have seen. I do know of a young man named Tom who has some interest in plants. He mostly keeps to his garden in the city, though." He was also the one who had been kind enough to show Sandry around Hydroponics before, in search of some form of cotton-esque plant.
