Hot or Not?

Yeah, yeah, it's another game. Bite me.

You know the drill. Rank the person above you from 1 (Dumptruck ugly) to 10 (I want you, you want me, let's have a good time). Be as nice--or mean--as ya damn well feel like.

First person you get to rank is yours truly. And remember, I know where you live.

Nutrients keep your eyes such, do they? Fascinating.

Ahem, well. As for your arts, I am afraid I am, ah, unfamiliar.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Mm. Spice. Only one place in my universe has it, only one planet moves the cosmos, and it is this melange that makes my eyes what they are. It is a mind expanding narcotic, necessary to my own survival. Thus, it is a nutrient. Yes?

As for the Bene Gesserit, we are many things.

In fact we are often concubines to royal houses, taught many, many ways to pleasure from an early age. We Bene Gesserit are talented in more ways than one might expect. It is not pride, but fact.

Well. While different, it still isn't new to me.

You're telling me you have a powerful narcotic in your atmosphere, thus rendering every native addicted, am I correct?

That would certainly qualify it as a nutrient, in my opinion. Unless, of course, there are other negative effects this spice has?

Yes to the first question, no to the second. At least nothing besides death if it is not consumed on a regular basis.

I suppose it is in everything. The sand, the air, everything one touches. On Arrakis, almost everything has the Spice in it.

Concubines. I-- [clears throat awkwardly]

I see.

*covers her mouth and laughs and laughs*

Yes. Yes we are.

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
thank god holograms can't have awkward and embarrassing physical reactions unless they want to

That's ... fascinating. Academically speaking, of course.

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Do you realize just how very distracting that is?

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Of course I do. If I didn't, I wouldn't have passed any of my training at all and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
ffffffu

Yes, well, would you please stop? It makes conversation difficult.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Tch. Half the fun lies in the way one dances, mm?

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
Dancing? Yes! I enjoy dancing on occasion, yes. anything to stop thinking about the other thing

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
Dancing can be quite enjoyable, no matter where one does it. *thoughtful expression* Only on occasion? I would think such a thing would be enjoyable always.

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
On occasion, yes. Oh, I enjoy dancing every time, yes, but I also enjoy my work.

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I would certainly hope so. It's important to enjoy one's work.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Some enjoyments are more base than others, but yes, it is quite important.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
As I was told as a child, the more you practice the more enjoyment you will have once you have learned a thing to perfection.

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
I was never a child, but I understand the sentiment.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
It is an easy concept to understand.

[identity profile] notadoorstop.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, good. I'd hate to be the only one who thought so.

[identity profile] ladyofthesands.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be highly unintelligent.
