Hot or Not?

Yeah, yeah, it's another game. Bite me.

You know the drill. Rank the person above you from 1 (Dumptruck ugly) to 10 (I want you, you want me, let's have a good time). Be as nice--or mean--as ya damn well feel like.

First person you get to rank is yours truly. And remember, I know where you live.

Even if they were judgmental, why would it matter? I know my limitations, my capabilities. I know what I've accomplished with my intellect throughout my life.

I made no judgments of your character or capabilities, but if I had, you would have been well within your rights to simply ignore me.

Regardless of my intention, it was a harmless observation. At worst, it was uninformed judgment, which you could have simply ignored, at best, it was what it is--merely an observation on the levels of technology and societal development your world appears to have.

Every world goes through similar stages in their development.

I can't ignores something like that, and I know I at least now why we aren't agreeing with each other. You can think of things like this logically, and reason them out as such. I'm more inclined to think with my emotions. Call that what you will.

I can't really ignore someone telling me that my world is underdeveloped. In your mind, I can see why it wouldn't bother you, and in a way, I'm envious. You can think like that and keep a level head.

But nine times out of ten, I'll think with my heart and go with it. Its both a blessing and a curse.

I have a team-mate and friend that is much the same. Several team-mates, actually, but Gates is the one I've witnessed exhibiting those traits the most.

To him--like yourself--thought, feelings, and action are irrevocably linked. I have often admired his ability to function with such ease in that state, to balance intellect, intuition, and emotion.

It seems...liberating.

I'm still working on that. I'm far from perfect, and I've reacted in ways I'm ashamed of now. But I think it's good to have someone like that on your team. It gives you a goal.
