Sherry has a bright red piece of chalk and has climbed to the top of Goliath's head. She is Queen of the Mountain. :|b


His cheeks need more color, don't you think?

There's a moment when Kelly doesn't register the little girl on top of the big gargoyle. But then she sees her and slightly raises a brow. Walking over, she leans against the statue.

"What are you doing?"

"Coloring." Sherry replies bluntly. There's a smudge of white sunscreen over her nose and cheeks, because she is of the too-pale-to-be-outside club. The little girl raises an eyebrow at Kelly and goes back to coloring Goliath's cheeks.

She may actually be smiling.

She is quickly joined by Yuri, who runs up proudly holding up a black piece of chalk as if it were the original Dead Sea Scrolls. "Now he can have a mustache!"

Even the mightiest of gargoyles is vulnerable during the day . . . to little girls with creative flair.

Kelly looks at the two children for a moment, then taps the gargoyle's forehead.

"You know, I hear these things come alive at night." Oh Kelly, how right you are!

"No, a goatee. People that are evil always have mustaches," she advises. Or British accents, but it isn't like he can talk. "And that's silly; it's just a statue."

Logic - all Sherrys come with it.

"Oh? Well, you're from a different universe from your friend here, aren't you? Some would say that's impossible. You shouldn't rule out the possibility. Better safe than sorry."

She pauses a moment. "Besides. Most evil people have more scars."

"They have goatees too!" Yuri goes to work and before long she's got a compromise worked out: He has a neckbeard, sideburns and a unibrow as well as flecks of stubble. She looks back at the big adult who's joined them. "R-really?" She's totally ready to believe it.

"What?" Sherry is thrown of her train of thought when Vega arrives.

She nods somberly to Lily. "You have to admit, it's possible."

He gets distracted by the gargoyle.

"Whats this?"

"Something you're not taking me off of," Sherry replies primly and goes back to coloring Goliath's cheeks.

Yuri looks up at Kelly with a mighty glare. "Don't throw things at Vega-kun!"

"..." For a moment, she actually contemplated saying, 'he started it' but thought better of it.

"Well, you should advise him to be more respectful."

From her perch on Goliath - and totally dismissing the movement as being in her head - Sherry starts coloring his hair, green. "Monuments are monuments, Vega." Unlike this statue here. "But you probably shouldn't have thrown a rock."

"It was just a pile of rocks anyway, it's not like it was a big deal."

He grumps a little bit, but looks up at Goliath.

"Why are you doing that?"

"Didn't intend on hitting him." Wait, why was she explaining herself to a child?

She raises a brow at the coloring. "Are you really sure you should be doing that?"

Because this child acts more like she's 40 than 12, probably.

"There isn't any reason to not color it, besides, a rainstorm will wash it all off. Or a few buckets of water." And Sherry Redfield-Kennedy is still Queen of the Mountain.

It's about this time that Stacy, given that she loves her entire meatcrew extra today, remembers that she forgot someone.

And the stone beneath Sherry's chalk cracks.

Sherry looked down and channeled her uncle for a moment. "...Crack?"

Uh-oh.

Yeah and now you have a yawning medieval monster coming to life beneath you Sherry.

Also, that stone exterior? Flying every which way. So much for art.

Also, yawning? Translates to ECHOING ROAR OF what sounds very much like RAGE.

Roxie had just been sitting back on a big towel. Very modest one-piece, and... her jacket, for whatever reason. Maybe she doesn't trust it by itself.

"Sherry!"

But now she's scrambling forward across the sand at almost top speed towards the (ex-)statue.
