Negative. This experiment is being conducted under optimal conditions and the most stringent safety regulations---

[It clicks. That's B5. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD, MISTER. He's dropping the vial and instinctively leaping out of the way of the debris, crashing into the (thankfully empty) table behind him.]

Why---how---who---I'm dreaming. Hallucinating. Experiencing some sort of sensory deception. [Rubbing at his glasses and muttering incoherently now.]

No, you're not dreaming or hallucinating. It's... complicated. Most people seem to prefer hugging instead of explanations though.

Complicated in what way? I may not have your level of intelligence, but I believe I could try to follow an explanation. Forgive my disbelief.

Well it's to do with pocket dimensions and a little bit of bending the rules of time and space. Suffice to say I only really exist here.

What I'm trying to say is that we miss you, but your counterpart should probably be the one seeing you right now. The two of you had a unique relationship due to your status.
