The "Ask Characters Questions" Meme 2: The Sequel!

Is this really necessary? You've already done one of these— oh, fine.

Post here, and answer questions that are asked of you. Enjoy yourselves.

So if you were still around...

what do you think of the statue of you?

I've actually been meaning to thank Slobo for that, and everyone else for what they contributed. In my dimension, Legionnaires who sacrifice themselves for others are given similar statues. So it was really... touching, is the only word I can think of, though it doesn't do it justice.

I;m glad.

And I'm...sorry I didn't get to know you better.

Don't be. You can't expect yourself to know everyone on the ship, not with how many people there are already and all the ones yet to come. And no one could have predicted what happened.

But... if you did want to talk more here sometime, I always like meeting someone new.

I can try. I've tried since I got here. All of these people, with all of their stories, their troubles...I wish I could learn them all.

Okay.

How were you created?

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
That's... very kind of you. Most people aren't willing to do that for others. ...I wish I'd tried the same before I lost the chance.

Hmm, the exact process is a little complicated, but I can simplify. My biological side was created from a mix of the previous Brainiac's and other carefully selected genes. Then that was later incorporated into the cybernetics and nanotechnology of my body, and my mind uploaded into it.

Its one of the best things about being a prisoner on the ship: you can get to know about other people and other worlds. Who wouldn't be open to that?

So that was how you were created. I couldn't begin to uderstand all of that (I'll look it up, I promise) but it sounds complicated.

But what about you? I mean,w hat made uup your likes, your dislikes? What made you, say, want to do what you did for the ship?

I suppose some people might be more concerned about other things, or just not the type to talk openly with others...

I don't think it's that complicated, but then again it is standard to my species. You don't have to look it up, though. It was nice of you just to ask.

....I did what I did because I'm a Legionnaire, because someone had to make sure no one else was hurt and because I was the person close enough at the time with the abilities to do just that. I like to think anyone else in the crew would do the same if they had to.

I can understand that some people are more private than others, or might have gone through some things they don't feel comfortable talking about. For me, I just like knowing about others, seeing things the way that they do. It's a situation that doesn't get to happen to many people.

But I want to know! I don't mind looking it up if it means finding out something I never knew about before.

I think I can understand that. I know there are some people who wouldn;t want to give up their lives in a place they never wanted to be in the first place. It's a hard decision to make. But for what its worth, it was very brave and we'll always remember you for it.

That's an admirable trait, one that I think more people could stand to have. Myself included.

Well if you do want to know more, then you're welcome to look into it. But... I'm not sure how much you'll get, unless Stacy happens to have a book on Coluan physiology hidden somewhere.

To be honest, while I did appreciate the funeral and the effort everyone went to - especially people like Slobo, Static, and Jamie - I think the best way I could ask people to remember me is to look after each other. The Legion taught me how important that is.

On a ship like this, its usually a good thing to have an open mind. Stacy wanted to pull us all from our worlds because we could fight the Ohm. But I'm not just going to look at you guys as soldiers. I'd like it if we were more of a team, a family even. Its a little impossible, but it would help us in the long run.

Who knows? I can always check the Media room.

I was planning on it...even for people who don't exactly like me too much right now.
