The "Ask Characters Questions" Meme 2: The Sequel!

Is this really necessary? You've already done one of these— oh, fine.

Post here, and answer questions that are asked of you. Enjoy yourselves.

Again? Well I suppose it's not that bad...

[identity profile] madeofwyn.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
So, what's it like being a really solid ghost?

[She's totally kidding. Maybe.]

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
...at least there's no ectoplasm to worry about.

Hmmm. Does this mean I have something in common with Dani and Danny now?

[identity profile] madeofwyn.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
It probably does, although more *~scientific inquiry~* is called for. I know Dani'd be happy to hear that, anyway.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
...you're not going to blow me up, are you?

[identity profile] madeofwyn.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Yes.] No! Believe it or not, I can manage not to explode every piece of technology I come in contact with.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
...Are you sure? Because while I can normally regenerate a significant amount, I do have my limits.

So if you were still around...

what do you think of the statue of you?

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
I've actually been meaning to thank Slobo for that, and everyone else for what they contributed. In my dimension, Legionnaires who sacrifice themselves for others are given similar statues. So it was really... touching, is the only word I can think of, though it doesn't do it justice.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
I;m glad.

And I'm...sorry I didn't get to know you better.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Don't be. You can't expect yourself to know everyone on the ship, not with how many people there are already and all the ones yet to come. And no one could have predicted what happened.

But... if you did want to talk more here sometime, I always like meeting someone new.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
I can try. I've tried since I got here. All of these people, with all of their stories, their troubles...I wish I could learn them all.

Okay.

How were you created?

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
That's... very kind of you. Most people aren't willing to do that for others. ...I wish I'd tried the same before I lost the chance.

Hmm, the exact process is a little complicated, but I can simplify. My biological side was created from a mix of the previous Brainiac's and other carefully selected genes. Then that was later incorporated into the cybernetics and nanotechnology of my body, and my mind uploaded into it.

[identity profile] redheadcarrier.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Why are our players such idiots?

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Sometimes I think it comes with the territory.

Is there any reason in particular you're asking?

[identity profile] redheadcarrier.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Ugh, just this whole not having us interact that much until after you were dead.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree. It was actually a lot of... fun. Really. It makes me wish we'd had more time to get to know each other before.

Though mine says she doubts anything as amusing as random kisses would have happened since I'm-- I'm not saying that.

[identity profile] redheadcarrier.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, mine agrees with that much, anyway.

But yeah. It was fun!

...you've never really kissed someone, have you?

Fourth wall breakage yay!

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I personally would like to, there's so many things I haven't seen or done or people I haven't spoken to...

But while my player says in one way she'd like to as well, she also says it feels like it would be a 'cop out' to have me come back after dying like that, so currently it's not an option.

>:3

[identity profile] standaloneshell.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it wouldn't be the first time I'd resurrected an AI from molten scrap and half it's backup. Not that anyone cares to ask me. That's my excuse for not offering, if you're interested.

Mine thinks that as time passes, that feeling will diminish. An interesting twist to a future plot, or so she says. Sadistic gods.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Well the other reason might be that it's more difficult now the rest of me has been ejected into space.

Mine says if that happens we should poll the comm like a reality TV show. ....the idea of Stacy being a huge, interdimensional reality show is actually rather disturbing. I refuse to be made to do any cooking or pointless tasks.

[identity profile] standaloneshell.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the phrase is 'We shall rebuild him, better than before'? Tch. Funerals are a waste of time.

That would be...interesting.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2009-11-20 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
...I didn't think it was a waste. At least not as far as all the others who died were concerned. And I appreciated what everyone was trying to do for me as well.

I think you mean 'horrifying'. I've seen those things, they make me wonder how humanity managed to achieve the average intellect level they have in my time.
