WAKING UP!
Your character is in a nice, warm bed, wearing their bedclothes (or lack thereof) of choice. It's comfortable, it's fluffy, and it's great...
Unfortunately, someone's in bed with them. They might roll over and accidentally cop a feel before waking up fully, they might notice the heat on their backs, but whatever the case may be, there's someone in there with them. They could easily remember the night before, how that happened, but...
Where's the fun in that?

Victoria...
[He mumbles something else, then snuggles in some more.]
no subject
...Victoria??? Seriously, the dream could at least let him get the name right, couldn't it? Oh well, the snuggling is still nice. Subconscious Simon just needed a bit more work, was all. She yawns... ]
It's Kaylee...
no subject
Och, Kaylee, then...
[Wait. Did she say...? His eyes pop open.]
Kaylee?!
no subject
The surprise in his voice says it's not Simon. The accent says it even more. Her eyes open, she looks up at Jamie, blinks once...
Blinks again...
Blinks a third time. ]
JAMIE!?
no subject
Oh! I'm sorry!
[He lets go and quickly snags the blanket. There's about a million questions that come to mind, but he's still pretty flustered.]
I..how..what...?
no subject
--why is she naked and in a bed with Jamie ohgod ]
N-no, ain't your fault...
[ Ain't his fault? The whose was it?? Wasn't her fault, that was for gorram sure. ]
Maybe if we just take it a slow step at a time...
no subject
Ah...
[Take it one step at a time. That's a good idea. That's an excellent idea, in fact.]
A-aye. That would make sense.
[He pauses, not really sure where to start. He doesn't remember...well, anything. Maybe she does?]
What do ye remember about last night?
no subject
Right...
[ She thinks hard, but eventually just shakes her head. ]
Can't remember a gorram thing. [ Oh this could be bad. ]
no subject
I...went to the City to play for a wee bit. I remember that. And then I remember being verra tired, so I came back to my quarters, and...
[Nothing after that.]
Then, well, this. Do ye think we...?
no subject
Can't remember anythin' past workin' on repairs...
[ It's a good thing she can't get much redder, because that last comment of his...not that she can't think of worse people than Jamie to have. She kind of wished she could remember it, though. ]
I er. How shi sung chung... [ That's not a happy sounding comment, either. ]
[[ Translation: "Happy development." ]]

[One of them would remember something, right? He likes Kaylee well enough, and he feels certain if something had happened, surely it wouldn't be completely forgotten. There's a sudden, unpleasant thought that occurs to him, though.]
I bet ye GLaDoS had a hand in this.
[He seems about to say something else, but the Chinese throws him for a loop, and he winds up giving Kaylee a very blank look instead.]
no subject
GLaDoS a trouble-maker?
[ She really doesn't have all that much of idea of the ships multiple personalities yet. She knows the blank look of nonrecognition in response to Chinese, though. ]
Er. Happy development, this is... [ Yeah. ]

[Jamie's frowning fairly deeply, here.]
Once she went around and trapped people in forcefields and wouldna let them out until they kissed.
Something like this would be verra much her doing.
[There's a faint 'oh' for the translation, and Jamie's expression turns from a frown to something a little more unreadable.]
I...
[He trails off and opts for silence, instead.]
no subject
[ By the sound of some of these experiments, Kaylee's not sure whether she likes this GLaDoS or not... ]
Sounds like a troublemaker to me.
[ Aaaah way to screw that one up, Kaylee. She's scratching the back of her head a bit nervously now. ]
Not that it ain't a nice thing, wakin' up next to ya, mind, just...wish I could remember how I got there, is all.
no subject
Troublemaker is a verra good description, if ye ask me.
[He purses his lips at that head scratch motion. He knows that particular little tic all too well. He gives her a small smile.]
Aye, well, I think we're both feeling the same way. I'm just not sure what to do about the not remembering part.
no subject
[ Great time to be learning this now, when they're already in a new mess. Ah, well.
She can at least offer a smile back to Jamie, however unsure she is. ]
Maybe she just moved us? It'd be possible, right?
no subject
Well, yes and no. Stacy is Stacy, although for a bit her main...uh...personality, I guess ye would call it? Anyway, she was damaged so there was some backup-thing, but that's fixed now. GLaDoS and the other AIs are separate, but I guess they work together in some ways. I don't really understand how.
[Sorry, Kaylee - you're going to have to ask someone who's way better at computers than Jamie to get how that works.]
And aye, it's possible, so she could see what happened when we woke up.
no subject
How often do the others pop out, then? Just when Stacy's down? Or are they all the time, 'n just pop up when they feel?
[ So many questions, but there are more pressing matters. Like the fact that she still lacks clothes. Kaylee double checks to make sure that she is, indeed, covered, as she continues. ]
An experiment, then...if what you've said has happened, I guess it'd be possible.
no subject
I wish it was something I could tell ye, but I've only run into GLaDoS when she trapped me. Although I think there might have been another one involved during the Karaoke night, aye? Something picked a song for me to sing, as I didna know any.
[There's a glance at the sheet, and he clears his throat.]
Um...did ye want the blanket? Or did ye want to try and see if we can find our clothes instead?
no subject
So there might be more'n one trickster, or GLaDoS might be a little more active than we thought.
[ She shakes her head, and leans over to glance at the floor next to the bed. No clothes, and this ain't her bunk, either. She sleeps in Serenity... ]
Sheet's fine for now. I can wrap it......this ain't your bunk, is it?
