Samus will go :| at Lash but she goes :| at everyone. She doesn't mind Lash too much, but Lash's past might make her go GRRR because Samus has this irrational feeling that being deprived of a childhood to save the world/galaxy/multiverse should have only been her burden to bear and seeing it done to other people is not fun.

That's too bad, neither will Samus half the time.

She respects Leon and trusts his judgments. That being said, the moment she doesn't, she will make it incredibly obvious. Commanding officers never really told Samus what to do, they just gave her permission to do things she would have done anyway. She has the same attitude towards Leon, if felt he wasn't acting on behalf of keeping the whole crew safe, she would do something about it. She trusts Leon not to lie to her, and it would probably wise if he never did. The last bosses she had lie to her ended up with their space station crashed into a planet. You don't fuck with Samus Aran when she's working for the good of the universe.

tl;dr she respects him, but will only work for him as long as she thinks he's got only the best in mind regarding the crew
