Lex may proceed to DIAF as soon as physically possible. It's not entirely the "didn't come back to warn us" thing -- had Lex presented himself differently, greeting the crew wild-eyed and going "holy crap, I didn't know you were going to do that, let me help you", Paco could have forgiven that.

No, it was that he greeted them sitting in a chair with a glass of wine, watching a replay of Paco getting his arm ripped off like it was some mild form of entertainment, and then trying to put himself in charge.

It doesn't matter that there was a guy in Paco's universe with the same name. He believes, entirely independent of that, that THIS Lex Luthor couldn't pet a kitten without wanting to eat it.
