Lyle is very fond of Sensor. She's friendly and sensible and makes things effortless on his part. Not to mention she's good friends with Cham and helps keep him happy. That said, he's well aware that there's a sort of missing piece in their relationship. He can't comfort her about the things that bother her very well, and feels that he relies on her to take care of herself and do as she's told without getting anything from him in return. It makes things easy for him, but he wishes he were better at reciprocating somehow.

Jeka is likewise very fond of Lyle. They're not that close, but it's more of a matter of them not sharing the same friendship styles than anything else. He's a joy to work with and for, and his presence makes her self-appointed job of keeping Brainy from reverting to complete misanthropy much easier. She trusts that he's going to continue being self-contained enough that he's not going to add anything to her emotional workload while simultaneously providing her with at least the feeling of direction, and that she deeply appreciates.
