Dean immediately grinned at the number of toys lying around. He wanted to see if there was a firefighter outfit in the pile, or some fun toy cars.

There was at least one fun toy car, but it was currently in use.

"Well yeah, but this is a special car. It needs to go to the garage," Paco said. "I was gonna fix it so it would go faster. Do you want to help? Then it could go way faster!"

Dean beamed at that idea, "Hey yeah, I could do that! My dad's showed me stuff about cars. So has Uncle Bobby."

Paco grinned back. "My friend Jaime's dad owns a garage. He fixes lots and lots of cars, but he won't let me and Jaime help. He said we were too little and we'd get in the way. I think he wouldn't let us in because Brenda was with us. She's a girl, so she doesn't get cars."

He flipped the toy car over on to its hood. "So, where do we start?"

"Dude that sucks, Uncle Bobby's got a salvage yard full of old classic cars and he lets us look at them all we want. Only Sam's still kind of little to check them. That's my younger brother."

Dean hunkered down next to him, and studied the toy with a serious expression. "Well you should always check your fluids. Transmission, Brake, Oil. That's some of the biggies right there."

"Luckyyyyyyy," Paco said enviously. "I've just got two little sisters. And Jaime and Brenda, sort of. They're littler than me and kind of weird, so I look out for them and make sure the older kids don't pick on them too much."

He leaned over the car and poked it a few times. "Yeah. Yeah, that sounds about right. Are those what make it make the funny noises?"

Dean could understand that immediately. It's the big brother's job to look after everybody littler than him.

He laughed, "Nah, that helps it run. You gotta check the spark plugs and pistons in the engine for stuff like that."

Exactly! Brenda and Jaime were both only kids, so they didn't get that. Brenda especially, she always wanted to fight him when he tried to help her.

"Ohhh, okay." Paco sat back on his heels. "Can you show me how so I can do it?"

He looked like he was on a mission, and not just for any old toy. Kaylee glanced at the toy car next to her, before holding it up to him. "That what you're lookin' for?"

Now Dean never really went through a girls are icky phase. In fact, he thought girls were neat.

So he came closer with a grin as he accepted the toy, "Totally. That's just what I was looking for."

Well, at least there were some boys around who had a bit of sense to them. Kaylee gave him a toothy grin back, and flipped the space ship in her hands. "I think there's even a garage for it 'round here someplace!"
