There's a carousel up and running to one side of the play area, complete with music.

A dragon, about dog sized, is balancing precariously on the ornate saddle of one of the carousle horses, clinging to the edges of it with small talons and flailing about with her wings and tail to stay aboard as she attempts to bite its throat. Considering that the carousel is not, in fact, alive, she's not doing so well.

There's also a two foot tall draconian, horns nothing more than nubs, crouched on top of one of the other horses, eyeing the dragon with a great deal of wariness. He's growling low in his chest, but he's keeping his distance.

Guybrush likes the vibes he’s getting off of this kid. Might actually put up a fight instead of all these other sissies.

So the tiny pirate, blond ponytail flopping behind him, rushes up to the boy with the cape and holds out his plastic replica cutlass, making a menacing pirate face as he adjusts his eye patch.

“Come and fight, ye scurvy dog!” cries Guybrush, flailing his sword, “Or surrender yer treasure and avoid an early trip to Davy Jones’s Locker! Arr!”

Little Sheeana is a strange child, much given to outbursts of mood and spending days on little art projects. She dances as she fingerpaints. With each major stroke, she spins, arms flung out wide. Investigate? Get spattered by paint?

Little Billy is absolutely enamored with his book. He's so engrossed in his tome about car engines that he fails to notice hazards in the world around him---which isn't good, as he's trying to walk and read at the same time.

Given how clumsy he is, something bad is bound to happen.

[Little Alia walks up to him, and sneers as she is nearly bumped into. She snatches the book out of his hands and inspects it.]

God what is this dribble? These... contraptions are so primitive! What a waste!

[Throwing the book to the ground at his feet, and then stomps on it, grinning deviously, as if daring him to do something.]

That's a big pile of fluff and fabric surrounding youngling!Kang, and he is currently adding to it, ripping up a stuffed giraffe. Some of the fluff has apparently gone flying up, and has gotten caught on the thumb portion of one of his wings and landed on top of his snout. Tail twitching, his head abruptly swivels to stare at someone nearby, and he pulls the giraffe closer possessively with a low growl.

Apparently, he hasn't learned to share yet.

Brainy is, at roughly age twelve, as close as he's ever been to being a child. Having left Colu not that long ago, there are a lot of things he just doesn't grasp the concept of, and one of them is apparently the play the other children are engaging in.

For the moment he's just standing off to the sidelines, watching what's going on with a thoughtful look on his face.

Nanoha is small. Very small - nine years old, in fact. She's kind of looking around at all the other kids, not really used to so many unfamiliar faces ... but why just stand and stare? They should make some friends!

Nanoha has stumbled upon Dustin’s metropolis fortress in the corner of the room. Judging from the various items that he has horded back there, his answer to her question should be obvious.

…But she wasn’t going away. So the little boy, probably no more than seven or eight years old, turns to face her with an emotionless glare behind giant chemical goggles that nearly cover his entire face. Or rather, what’s left that isn’t shrouded by his massive mop of dark brown hair.

“Yes. Now go away,” Dustin pouts ill-temperedly.

A little white haired girl with huge golden eyes has been smacking the stuffing, quite literally, out of a very ugly squishy and disgusting looking toy. A good kick sends it flying.

In a small corner is a fort of epic proportions. It’s like a miniature city—actually it is a miniature city. More specifically, it’s a scale model of the Detroit skyline. There’s even smoke coming from the little space behind it, like early morning smog.

A tiny child, with so much dark brown hair covering his head that it could be mistaken for a large animal, has hogged one of the few electrical outlets in the room for his My Very First Chemistry Lab™ set. Not surprisingly he’s heavily modified it so that it actually works, and, with precision to rival the most dedicated scientists, is mixing two substances together. One is a clear liquid, boiling slowly over a Bunsen Burner, and the other…looks suspiciously like blue Play-Doh.

He's awkward on his feet, being only three, but whatever the boy with the chemistry set is doing has Fletcher intrigued. He toddles over to get a closer look.

Four feet long, two feet tall, and a mass of blue-striped fur that has enough static electricity to rival a discharging Tesla Coil, Aeneas the alien is sprawled across a cushion and taking a nap. His purple feathers and ears are nearly as large as his head is, as are the fuisti at the end of his tail (which, coincidentally, show signs of recent scarring). The visor drooped over his forehead nearly covers his disproportionately large eyes, which flutter while he sleeps.

Like a cat (or perhaps more like a snoring human), Aeneas is purring deeply. His back legs twitch every so often.

::Purring. He likes that sound. And after losing his plushie, the still slightly whimpering oddity bumbles toward the sound...and promptly runs into a cushion.
Ooo. Soft. Soft is good.

Producing something between a whimper and a chirrup, the maybe-four-pound/not-quite-foot-and-a-half thing crawls up onto said cushion....and sniffs. Ooo. Warm thing. The purringthing! Sniff. Sniff.
And then the beastie curls up right then and there, kind of nuzzling a bit::

“Arrr!” cries ickle!Guybrush, charging through the center of the room with a plastic sword and a scraggly blond pompadour, the fake beard and eye patch nearly slipping off his face with the action. He takes a moment to readjust them before he strikes a triumphant pose.

“Fear me, lads and wenches! I’m Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate™!”

Hello, ickle!Guybrush, have an ickle!Princess with a weird hat staring at you dubiously.

"My Dad says pirates are bad," she informs him imperiously.

Over in one corner, there's a rather magnificant-looking fort made out of cushions, blankets, a few chairs, and a precariously-balanced broom. Inside it are two kids - an eight-year-old princess and a ten-year-old Sheikah - peering out at the outside world nervously.

"Do you think this'll fool the bad man?" Zelda asks nervously.

"I'll protect you," Sheik says in reply, trying to feel as confident as he looks.

This was all before hurricane Alia struck of course! Seeing the two of them so cute and content in their meaningless pile of pillows, only made her want to...

Tiny Alia moved across the room in a blur of black flowing robes and bright blue eyes, in an instant she was through the wall of the fort, laughing out loud.

"This is the most pathetic attempt at a battlement I've ever seen! I don't know who you're trying to keep out, but it's not working."
