::Please don't kill him for the murderous butchering of pronunciation. Chirping, the curious beastie sniffs...and then turns that name into a nickname he can pronounce::

Aeneas gives a jerky nod and defensively curls up on his cushion, but otherwise is silent. Too shy, too shy. Maybe if he doesn’t say anything this creature will leave.

::He misses the nod but hears the scufflings of the curling-up. Unsure a bit, the beastie lets out a questioning whimper::

He hasn’t quite caught on that Renne can’t see anything, so the creature gets an odd glance in response to its question.

“…Yes?”

Part of him wanted to keep ignoring the strange one, but Aeneas is far too nice to do something so unnecessarily spiteful.

::That earns a little gasp. Frightened, concerned, worried. Worried. Very. Chittering in an urgent, possibly slightly protective tone, the beastie immediately begins sniffing at "Ig" once more. Except this time, it's...somehow clumsily obvious he's searching for a wound, abrasion or other thing that shouldn't be there::

The oddity’s butchered English also escapes the alien, who lets out a frightened chirp and curls into a tight ball on his cushion. His static-filled fur suddenly bristles with a dull fooph, and then Aeneas is nothing more than a bundle of blue fur.

…Yet Renne’s frantic nuzzling manages to jab at a few sensitive points. Aeneas twitches and lets out a muffled trill of laughter, feathers beginning to ruffle.

::Whimpering. Now he's really scared. The beastie keeps nosing and sniffing, trying to be as gentle as he can be. His English...well, it's all he's got to try::
