...what am I doing?
And on today's menu for silliness, we have the:
COLORS OF LOVE MEME!
The situation: There is a big, glowy, pulsating heart floating in the middle of a mysterious void where all our characters are gathered. For a moment, it does nothing but sparkle innocently. Innocently, I say.

And then?
Beams of colored light shoot out from the heart, slamming directly into every character and overtaking their bodies with a warm sensation. It only takes a second---once it fades, the characters are unharmed. But they sure do feel differently. How differently? Well, that depends on the color of the beam that hit them. Which color, of course, is up to you.
Characters hit by pink beams will feel an intense admiration and desire to be near the first character they see. They will become worshiping fans, stalkers even.
Blue beams merely bring an inclination toward friendliness. It's an opportunity for characters who would otherwise hate each other to talk civilly.
If hit by a red beam, they will feel a romantic attraction to the first character they see. Intense feelings, desires to make people happy, that sort of thing.
If it's a purple beam, lust ensues. If clothes start coming off, though, please take it to personal journals!
Orange beams trigger impulses toward (mostly) innocent physical affection. Lots of hugs and kisses given out here!
As for usage: feel free to either declare what color your character was hit with right away, or wait to know who you're threading with before you make that choice. You can also choose not to have them affected at all, and point and laugh at everyone else's craziness. And you can combine colors, or switch at any time! That heart's gonna hang around and watch the whole thing. Because it can.
If I've missed any fun amorous effects, feel free to make up a beam of your own and I'll add it. Have fun and go crazy! Tweak the effects if you want---if it's one or both, or toward multiple characters, tweak it as you will but just let the people you're threading with know.

[Red + Orange]
[Blue + Orange]
Are you all right for now? [Slips over and rests a concerned hand on Lyle's arm]
Re: [Blue + Orange]
Did it hit you too? [Hold on, out with the omnicom and scanning him now.]
no subject
Has there been a change in the air temperature? I feel warmer for some reason.
[Aaaand once the scan's done, Billy will try to lean over and read the results, nearly bumping their heads together. How odd.]
wtf that icon XD
Your pulse is a little high, but you look fine.
[Lyle is just going to ... ignore that. Or pretend to.]
Oh yeah...you mean that /wasn't/ smooth? >.>
Should we compare readings? [He holds up his omnicom in offering---even affected by an overwhelming desire to be close, he won't scan without permission. He knows others aren't as open as he is.]
Fortunately, I'm not sure Lyle even likes smooth
[Lyle nods, coughing.] Go ahead.
Aww. :(
So I suppose we wait for disaster to strike? [Smile---he's trying to joke, and he pats Lyle's back once and retreats---showing restraint, considering what those odd feelings are urging him to do.]
no subject
[Lyle can't help but smile back.] If we keep an eye on each other, we should be fine, right?
no subject
Precisely. If it eases our minds any, I'm looking around at the everyone else affected and they seem to be healthy. And enthusiastic as well. [Look who's coughing now?]
no subject
[He puts a hand on Billy's shoulder.] Maybe you can tell me what you've been up to while we're waiting out the effects? It's been a while.

I haven't had the opportunity to assist as much as I'd like to. I spend most of my days ensuring that Wyn has the supplies she needs to build tools to fight the Nightmare King. With my complete lack of magical ability, I've been essentially sidelined into grappling with my nightmares.
Other than that, I've made a few new friends---though I've neglected some lately. [That's an apologetic smile for you, Lyle, and an accompanying shoulder-squeeze.] And yourself?
no subject
This nightmare thing is a huge distraction, though. We should probably take some time out to relax some time.

Hugs!]
I wouldn't worry about it.
no subject
I suppose you're right there. [STILL HUGGING.]
...why didn't we ever do this sooner?
no subject
I don't know. I don't usually. Don't want to make people uncomfortable.
no subject
It's not making me uncomfortable. ...actually it's kind of... nice.

[Hugging Lyle is very nice and not something he plans on stopping any time soon. Brainy contrives to snuggle closer and press his face into Lyle's neck.]
no subject
[Lyle chuckles, still holding Brainy off of the ground. Adorable, affectionate tiny robot! If only he had this when he was seven.]
no subject
[Hope you like your adorable, affectionate tiny robot, Lyle. Judging from the cling-factor, you may have him there for a long time.]
no subject
[Lyle's nose/Brainy's hair OTP? Hopefully Brainy is using his flight ring, though. Lyle can't hold him up forever.]

This is a good time to point out they're still hugging. =D
Lyle and his adorable wrap-around tinybot?
He makes a dashy accessory for any superhero
And also body armour! :D
Fashionable and functional!
It may get weird looks from the rest of the Legion, however.
Considering their reaction to the Kiss, maybe not
...good point.
