Because I know I'm not the only one whose thought of this.
It's the....
Ten Years Later RP Meme!
To put it simply, how do you think your character will have developed over ten years on the Good Meatship Stacy?
And playing them like it's ten years later.

Watch your footing. Don't lean too much on your right leg. And always look at your opponent in the eyes.
[Ronon's off in one corner of the tavern with a single student
intimidating them for shits and giggleshaving a private catch-up lesson.]no subject
[One of them huffs and twitches her tail.]
"I do not!"
[Another grins at her and grabs that leg, knocking her to the ground.]
"Do too!"
[And, as is typical between Yana and Brevo, they end up brawling, rolling off the stage.]

"Damn, you got me. Good job."
Fonrar grinned, leaning on the bar, "That's enough for today. Let your father up." The younglings scrambled up, giving each other high fives and laughing.
Chuckling, Kang sat up, "Not for much longer, at this rate. At least, not when they all work together like that."

The younglings paired off to continue roughhousing, giving the adults a chance to talk. Nodding, Kang stood up and joined his mate, standing just close enough to her so that their wings touched, "Actually, that last planet we were on, I found some reasonably priced beer and picked up a few kegs."

"Only after I reminded you," Fon teased, punching him in the shoulder.

"Uh huh. Five minutes after we left?"
"You don't have any faith in your mate?"
She snorted, "I know how forgetful you can be sometimes, idiot."
Kang shrugged one shoulder in defeat and leaned back on the bar. "I just sell it. Brewing is someone else's job."

The Varren looked excited as it watched the kids with patient, but entertained eyes. It's muscles tensing as it felt the music of combat. Shepard looked down at her pet and gave its leash a light tug.]
Eeaassy there, big boy. Don't want to give the wrong impressions.
[Fido only glanced up his master and whined]

He misses the pits, huh?

[Fido gave a another whine and swayed its tail in response. Shepard looked back up at Kang and nodded her head toward his family] How's the family life treating you? Any of them hit their rebellious stage yet or is worrying about what one of them is going to do with the family hovercar still a ways off?
[If she were smiling, you could swear there were was humor in there]

Having to do it the hard way, then.
[Laughing, Kang crosses his arms over his chest.]
Oh, we made sure they learned the consequences of misbehaving early.

[She raised an eyebrow and her scarred half of her lip curled lightly.] You laugh now, but before you know it Yana is going to come home with rainbow colored scales and want to be a Bene Gesseritt maiden.
[Not that she had a problem with that set of belief, but it worked well to make the point go across.]

...I highly doubt she'd want to join that group. She doesn't have the patience.
[Yana tugged on Brevo's tail and grinned smugly as he fell back; he hissed, rounding on her, and the two tumbled to the ground, only to be broken up by Fonrar pinning them both on their backs and growling at them in warning.]

[The commander's smirk grew a little at Kang's answer.] Didn't deny the scale-job though. There may be hope for you yet.
[Her focus went back to the commotion the broke out and Fonrar's quick response. Fido helped out a minute later, having leaped his way up the stage and casually liking the faces of both the pinned dragonkids.]
You and your wife doing alright?
no subject
[Kang shrugged. He knew she wouldn't; her clutchmates would torment her endlessly for it. Grosk and Kali laughed as Fon let them up with a snort and a muttered comment, and Fido was shoved away with shouts of, "Gross!" and "Stop!"]
Mate, not wife. You keep forgetting. And we're fine.
[Totally teasing, though. Said mate looked at him and rolled her eyes with a grin at the kids' antics, crouching down and giving Fido scritches on the head.]

[Shepard shrugged. She wasn't really trying to make a statement, just small talk.]
[the ragged Varren gave a low purr in delight as Fonrar scratched him in all the right places. His long black and silver tail wagged, eyeing all the kids to see what they would do now. It wanted in.]

[The younglings joined in the scritches with grins, turning the varren into a puddle of goo.]

[Shepard winked.] I had to save my allowance for nearly a year and almost got there if it weren't for my boyfriend at the time talking me out of it.
[Oh yes, Fido was in Varren heaven now, sliding down to lay on its side as it purred as loud as possible.]
no subject
Good thing you had someone there to talk some sense into you.
[Claws are very good for scritches. After a few minutes, they all stopped, and Grosk thumped Fido's side once and flared his wings slightly, silently asking if he wanted to play.]
