Hot or Not?

the HOT OR NOT meme

This is a very straightforward meme.

Step one: Post as your character.
Step two: Other characters will rate yours from one (not hot) to ten (really hot).
Step three: Rate the characters who rated you.
Step four: My inbox dies! Funtiems!

[is too busy reading Frankenstein to say something]

It's about a man who learns how to create life...but not how to care for it.

He created a person out of body parts he found and took from graves and then used electricity to bring his creation to life.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
I can't see how that actually could happen. Electricity usually kills you, doesn't it?

[identity profile] crysteel-future.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
There are certain cases where it doesn't.

But the book is fiction.

Five.

[beat]

. . . I did not mean to say that. I meant to ask how far you had gotten in your reading.

[stupid ship. Stupid memes.]

[identity profile] crysteel-future.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
[shrugs]

It's...alright. I'm on chapter fourteen.

[personal profile] not_the_philistine 2010-07-16 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
I do not wish to spoil any of the latter parts of the story if you have not read them yet, but it has been some time since I discussed Shelley with anyone.

It's an interesting book, that much I will say. It's both fascinating as well as morbid.

Mm, 8.7. Ever think about dyeing your hair?

You might look good with highlights.

[identity profile] crysteel-future.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm.

[sorry, she's too engrossed in chapter fourteen]

[identity profile] crysteel-future.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[looks up from book]

Thank you. You're not bad yourself.

[identity profile] celery-brooch.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry to interrupt you, that looks like a very engrossing read.

[Grumble grumble stupid memes]

Er...anyways. Seven?

[identity profile] crysteel-future.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[shrugs shoulders at the number]

It really is a good book. Though a little morbid.

[identity profile] celery-brooch.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. I'm afraid I've never read it in full myself, though I met Mary Shelley when she was first writing it. Very imaginative girl. High-spirited.

[identity profile] foreseen-future.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? [legasp! she actually shuts the book - after folding down a page to keep her place, of couse]

Are you from her time?

[identity profile] celery-brooch.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod. He seems pleased to have some intellectual discussion in the middle of this madness.]

Oh, I only visited. I'm more of a late 20th century person rather than an early 19th.

Nine.

I'm handing out a lot of nines lately.

9 is fine with me.
