The CR (Character Relationships) Meme

It's been a while since we've really done a meme with a purpose, and longer since we've done a CR meme - and now that we have a bunch of fresh new characters, time to find out what everyone thinks of you!

There's nothing fancy here - no fancy HTML - just pure bare-bones simplicity:

Hey Kira what do you think of afro kid?

He doesn't know her that well yet. He thinks she's talented and admires her enthusiasm and skill - she's someone that he's glad to have on his side - but on the other hand, he gets the feeling that she enjoys fighting and warfare a biiiiit too much for his tastes, since it's something that he finds pretty distasteful.

He likes her well enough, but he doesn't share her enthusiasm for combat.

Sup, Dollface.

Julian makes Nanoha uncomfortable sometimes. She doesn't dislike him, and thinks they could be friends, but she just sees him as having a profound and innate lack of respect towards women - how he treats them, how he just comes on to them immediately without regard for how they feel and acts like if he doesn't get slapped it's okay. And that he won't even respect her wishes enough to actually call her by her name like she agreed to do.

That, and he hit on Fate. That's a big no-no.

If he started treating girls with more respect, she thinks she could really like him. But until then, he puts her on edge (and she really doesn't like being on edge with people).

My ladies would like to think what your ladies (and Michael) think of them.

Nanoha on Miku: Nanoha really likes Miku. She thinks the girl is very sweet, enjoys having someone whom she can relate to because they're both Japanese, and loves cooking together with her. She thinks that Miku is a bit timid and introverted sometimes - which makes sense given her upbringing whereas Nanoha left Japan to become an intergalactic enforcer - and tries to help bring her out of her shell, but she really does like spending time with the other girl. Oh, and she also feels somewhat protective of Miku thanks to how they met with Miku's curse - Miku is someone she wants to watch out for and use her power to keep safe.

Nanoha on Sherry: She hasn't spent enough time with Sherry to really judge, but she likes Leon a whole bunch and really would like to get Vivio more friends her age. She thinks Sherry could use some encouragement to be a bit more outgoing and friendly, which is why she encourages Vivio to spend more time with all the rest of the kids.

Michael on Miku: He only just met her, and she's not really his type, but he thinks she's cute. Cute, shy, and fun to tease - so he'll continue flirting with her, but he doesn't really mean anything by it.

I know already, BUT I LIKE HEARING WHAT NANOHA THINKS OF FATE.

Oh right you can tell me what she thinks of Koishi too.

Nanoha is a very caring and affectionate person all around, and she loves a good many people like Hayate, Subaru and Vita... but it pales in comparison to how she feels about Fate (and Vivio, but that's neither here nor there). Fate is so many things to Nanoha - she's her best friend, she's her faithful partner in combat, she's her confidant and her loving girlfriend. Nanoha can't imagine life without Fate in it - if there was ever a clear example of "soul mates," it would be these two.

She loves Fate with all of her heart. She loves teasing her, she loves being with her intimately, she loves even spending time in the same room with Fate and doing/saying nothing just for her company. Cuddling beneath the covers with Fate as she drifts off may be her favorite thing in the world.

She's protective of Fate, to a degree. It's not as much as she is protective of Vivio; she knows that Fate is strong and can take care of herself, and on some level knows that Fate's job is a dangerous one and that she can't do it if Nanoha is hovering. But that doesn't mean she doesn't worry about Fate's safety and wouldn't take a bullet for her any time of any day if she could. Nanoha knows she's hypocritical in this, because Fate's own protective nature can feel overbearing sometimes (even if she knows that it's only out of love)... so she TRIES to stand back and let Fate do what she thinks is best, but there's always that inner urge.

But in the end, Fate means the world to Nanoha. She wants to be by her side until they're old and gray together; nothing could possibly make her happier.

SHE LIKES KOISHI. She thinks the girl is cheerful, friendly, and upbeat, which she enjoys, and there isn't the worry that she's reading into Nanoha's fondest and most intimate memories like there is with Satori. She's a bit worried that Satori is sheltering Koishi which may make some things harder on her - and concerned for the girl's mental health in general - but that doesn't mean she isn't pleasant to stay around.

Kira on Billy?

Kira likes him! Intelligent, hard-working, a bit introverted but then again Kira is too so he really has no right to judge. The irony is that because they're both similar in many ways it kind of precludes them from getting to know each other better. They should work on a project together.

Also, Kira and Nanoha on this guy.

Kira doesn't know Leon so well, so he doesn't really have a personal sense of him. He seems to be a competent and even-handed commanding officer, which is a nice change of pace for once, so Kira really won't question anything until Leon starts showing a reason why there could be problems.

Professionally, Nanoha trusts Leon. He's intelligent, he's quick-thinking, and he knows how to delegate and let the respective departments do their jobs without trying to micromanage things he has little experience with. She supports him as Captain very firmly and was rather pleased that he ended up getting elected, and hopes to not let him down with her work.

Personally, she almost finds his stone-faced serious personality endearing, really. Not everyone can be as cheerful as she is, and she knows that, and she doesn't have a problem with it (though it wouldn't kill him to crack a smile once in a while, would it?). There's probably a part of her that looks up to him a bit because he does always seem to have things under control and he's a bit more experienced than she is.

As a fellow parent, she can relate to him (she's the strict one, too!) and would really like to spend more time getting to know his family and Sherry.

Nanoha on Claire?

Overall positive! Like I said to Leon, Nanoha really would like to get to know Leon's family better; all she really knows Claire is from a few interactions over the omnicomms and then during shore leave. But she empathizes with Claire as a parent and finds her very pleasant to spend time with, even if it's her partner Fate who relates more as the "nice" parent rather than the stern one.
