It's Monday night, why not?

Fun for awkwardness and/or kinkiness....

Here post somebody in, and the person who tags them? Congratulations, you're now handcuffed together. No keyholes and there's power dampeners to prevent those of you with magic/super strength to break them easily. How they come off? That's up to you, and your new partner to figure out!

[Slightly sarcastically] Oh, aye. Of course. [Jamie goes to fold his arms against his chest, but realizes he can't do that without yanking Nura's arm over. He grimaces.]

Look, I'm serious. Did they say anything to ye, or...don't tell me ye don't know?

Not a clue. [she's pretty flippant about it]

No sense in worrying about it then. We'd best try and get free before they come for us, though.

[He studies the handcuffs for a moment, frowning.] I could try and pick the lock with the tip of my dirk, unless ye have a better idea.

Not at the moment, no.

[furrows brow with a mildly frustrated look, but just mildly]

Right. Here goes nothing. [He pulls his dirk and looks for something he can try and use to spring the cuffs open, but frowns after a few moments.]

Hey...do ye see a keyhole or anything on your side? I can't seem to find one on here.

[she turns her arm around and frowns when she does not find a keyhole] There's nothing on my side either.

Och, that's just great. [He puts his dirk away for now, since there's no use for it.] Now what?

Could you try breaking the chain?

Maybe if I had an axe or the right type of blade, but it'd be hard one handed...

I wonder if there's some supplies or something around here that we could use somehow?

We could both hold onto the blade if we do find one.

I don't really see anything useful, though.

Aye, well, there's got to be something here. I don't know about ye, but I'd not care to be stuck like this forever.

Help me look, uh...I'm sorry, I don't think I actually know who ye are.

[starts to help you look for anything that break the chain]

I'm Jamie.

[There's a cupboard, and Jamie starts to look through it eagerly. It's full of things you can bake with. Mixing bowls, cake pans, a torch to caramelize sugar with, ramekins...wait a minute. Grabbing the small torch, he glances over at Nura.]

Think this'll work?

[doesn't recognize the small torch. she's the from 31st century. cooking is as easy as one-two-and-three! easy-bake!]

I'm not sure. Try it.

[It looks a little bit like the welding torches in engineering, and Jamie tests it out - making sure to point the flame away from them.] Aye. But how...?

[After a moment of thought, a 'ah-ha' look appears on his face.] Hey, I've just had an idea! If we hold it on the links long enough, maybe we can soften the metal so we can pull it open. Would ye mind moving a wee bit so we can get the chain stretched out?

[moves to the side until her chain is taut]

[Jamie turns the small butane torch on and puts the flame on the links, keeping it away from Nura's side as best he can. It takes a while, but eventually the link he's focusing on grows hot enough that he's willing to risk trying to pull.]

Hold on as best as ye can to your end. I'm going to see if I can pull now.

[Jamie takes a good grip on his and yanks his arm with all the strength he can muster in an attempt to get the softened link to give.]

[Nura's used to force, so when Jamie tugs, she tugs as well, putting a grip around her her cuffed wrist with the non-cuffed hand, and stepping and yanking back. Hard.]

[That'll do it. The link parts quite easily, causing Jamie to stagger back a bit. He doesn't really care, though, since they're now free.]
