"Did you sleep well, Sasami?" Alessa has grown for the sake of her mate: she looked older but still with Alessa's cold stare, though her eyes have relaxed its steely gaze, and Sasami had seen actual looks of warmth from Alessa at times.

Sitting up, she moved to wrap her arms around Alessa. She truly cared for this girl and she enjoyed every moment of it, no matter what.

Not that she hadn't broken that rule so she could sleep beside Sasami. It had started as a simple friendship, and then, to her own surprise she had found herself seeking Sasami's company. She remembered the day that something dark had invaded the ship and attempted to harm the girl. Alessa's wrath was terrible, and though she was victorious, she was also harmed fairly badly. Sasami would visit her everyday...and the third day Alessa held the girl's hand and admitted she was vulnerable to Sasami. They'd been inseparable ever since.
She returned the hug, and gave Sasami a sideways look. "You look good."

She let herself trail off. Oh, she certainly remembered the day she had admitted that. Oh, it was confusing at first and it left her speechless. At the same time, she realized that she felt the same way about Alessa. She didn't care how she looked or acted, she still loved her.
"Mmmn, thank you, Alessa... so do you." she replied, kissing her cheek.

She thought she should mention that just in case Sasami doubted it. When Sasami kissed her on the cheek, the room was temporarily lit, as if Alessa's side of the room didn't exist, and melded with Sasami's.
She looked a little embarrassed, but smiled. "Shall I prepare us breakfast?"

When she offered to make breakfest, she smiled brightly. "Sure! Y'know, I've always thought I'd be the one making breakfast, but... you do such a good job at it."
no subject
She would probably know anyway though.
"Experimentation is not a feat I lack," Alessa reminded Sasami. "I just never channeled it into food. Besides, I want you to keep your strength up."
Part of that was because Sasami lived in such a unique household, but the other was for Sasami's job.

"And I thank you for that..." Sasami said, squeezing Alessa's hand. She was right - her magical potential having grown since the day she Pactioed with Negi on Zokez II, she ended up joining the Magical Department. And with Nanoha around...
"How about you go ahead and get breakfast ready and I'll go and get dressed, okay?" she said, releasing Alessa's hand and starting on her pajamas.

Things like that still never ceased to amuse her.
"You do that," Alessa said, proceeding to the kitchen. The setup was strange, but also a comfort in its own way.

A few minutes later, Sasami entered the kitchen, straightening up her uniform as she did. "I hope I didn't take too long...!"

Honestly, she could not imagine staying alive without Sasami now.
As if to answer, Alessa pointed to the kitchen table where there were three fat sausages scrambled eggs, pancakes and a tall glass of orange juice.
