DRUNK MEME

The premise is really very simple: The characters posted here are getting drunk at this on-planet marketplace. If your character would normally do so, you need no further instruction. Have fun!

If your character's a teetotaler, though, no worries. All the foods and beverages here at this strange marketplace of wonders are so imperceptibly alcohol-laced that no one will have a clue until it's too late. :3 By then, the fun's already beginning and there is NO ESCAPE. You are all DOOMED to suffer. Or puke. Or be really really super, if you're the type to process alcohol amazingly well.

Eat, drink, and have a party! There's plenty of partying with the locals over here for your characters to join in on. You have the vendors' corridor and a field outside it to roam around in, and for some reason the outdoor field is stocked with enormous gliding kites. This recipe sounds pretty disasteriffic to me.

The cheesecake was a trap.

Every last cheesy slice. Deliciously sweet, topped with strawberries; the weakness of her taste buds. Not even the most rigorous of girls could fight against that.

A cruel, oh so yummy trap. And she fell for it.

And she now fell off her bench. Sliding right off her seat and collapsing on the ground, slurring nonsensical curses, mixed in with hiccups, into the grass. ...Wonderful.

She'll kill them! Whoever had the bright idea to taint the sweets and make a fool out of her, pull one over her like this. She'll maim them!

...As soon as she can pick herself up off the ground. They will pay alright. Yep.

Woe.

Luckily for Kang, he knew very well the signs of intoxication, due to several decades of experience. That also meant that he could handle it his liquor pretty well. Also luckily for him, despite the amount he'd consumed, it didn't affect his balance or combat abilities as badly as it would a human.

Astrid, though...

Shaking his head, he moved over to the girl and knelt down next to her, "You alright?"

"Y-Yeeah... Yeah, yeah, Toothless. Sure. I'll--I'll be al..alright," she said, nodding more than needed, slowly pushing her head off the grass with wobbly arms.

"...Astrid, it's me, Kang. Not Toothless," Kang chuckled, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You really must be drunk if you can't tell us apart."

Wait, Toothless doesn't talk, right.

She turned her head to Kang and squinted, blinking a few times and when her vision became clearer for a moment her eyebrows lifted. Oh it's Kang.

"...Kaang? When did-*hic*-did you get here? W-Where'd Toothless go?" Where are they again? She was so confused now. And she needed a little help up.

"...you're going to have a hell of a hangover tomorrow. Come on, girl, let's get you to your room so you can sleep this off," Kang shook his head, his arm going around her to help support her.

"Terrific," she grumbles, finally getting to her feet, leaning on Kang for support and cracking a small, flushed grin at the draconian.

"S'not my fault. That cake was-was really good. Really, really.... really good." And the juice she drank with it. Yeeeaah, that didn't help much either.

Kang snorted, heading for the inn they were all staying at, "I think everything here is laced with alcohol. Everyone's drunk, even people who wouldn't touch it."

Yeah. That's not fair, is it.

"I've had several more decades of experience than you," Kang grinned. "I'm also a lot bigger than you. Doesn't mean I'm sober right now, though."
