Choosing to accept your own fate seems unreasonable, even owing him your life.

Perhaps with a side of butter, as this seems to be the preferred human method of consuming gastropods?
bonnypiperlad: (curious)

Well, if ye had to give real kisses to everyone, that would be one thing, aye? But what if ye could get away with...oh, kisses on the cheek with the strangers. Would that change anything?

[identity profile] visserbasher.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
At least I'm alive. But even if I weren't, I'd still do it. If I have to explain it to you, you'll never understand.

No.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. Never two of us the same.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
It might. Depends on whether I feel like makin' Billy blush or not.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Merely a curiosity. There are people I would be willing to die for, and I am attempting to understand what makes humans make these choices.

No?

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
I think that is the most truthful statement I have ever heard a human make.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Part of my job to be as truthful as I possibly can.
bonnypiperlad: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2010-11-15 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Obviously Kaylee needs to plan to make the next one longer.]

I'm not sure 'kick' would be the word ye would be wanting...

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
That must be a very interesting job, if it requires honesty. Do you ever desire the ability to lie?

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Rachel, that's not one of your choices. Play by the rules
bonnypiperlad: (So...)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2010-11-15 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Aye, well, with ye on board, I'd say things would not break down, at least.

Mind ye, the TARDIS still has a mind of its own. Who knows where we might wind up?

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I can lie just fine, but the truth is better for everybody.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
I can't help but agree with that, it's honestly often times twice as effective as whatever lie you can create, as well.

[identity profile] visserbasher.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's called love.

And no. I'm not going to make jokes about it.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
She break down a lot?

Sounds like there'd be all kinds of places to see...people to meet...

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
And you don't get in any trouble for it later, neither.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Love? Love is being willing to die for someone? Where does the dividing line lay, then, between friendship and being willing to die?

I thought you humans enjoyed making jokes out of serious situations.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
This is also beneficial and true. If one simply tells the truth, no one can accuse them of attempting to mislead.

[identity profile] visserbasher.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
I think it's love. I'd risk my life for someone I don't know very well and even though I don't know them doesn't mean I'm not acting out of love. Maybe respect for life. Love is complicated, and not always romantic.

Not this one.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. Don't know why more people ain't figured that one out yet.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
But why risk your life for someone you don't know? It defies logic, you don't know them. Your life is more valuable to the people you care about, isn't it? And those who care about you. I understand this romantic love you humans seem so fond of, and this strange bond shared between siblings, at least to a limit. But what other sort are you speaking of?

Ah, I see. Even if referring to the other you want to see punished.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Even though you, yourself, may end up causing more damage in the long run than someone else you could help restrain.

[identity profile] echoofaperson.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
Because most humans would prefer to conceal and hide to avoid trouble, which of course ends up causing more trouble.

[identity profile] visserbasher.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
But their life is valuable to the people they care about. There's romantic love, there's love for a family member, there's love for a friend, and then there's love for someone you don't know. I'm not really the expert on the last one. That's more my preacher's specialty- and I don't think even he gets it.

I just can't joke about something that happened- would have happened to Elfangor, O.K.? I keep picturing it.
