The situation: It is dreadfully cold. Think 'ice cave where all those slash fics are set'.
The goal: Keep each other warm tonight!

☀ STEP THREE: Both participants are aware that they should/must keep nice and warm. To do that, you need to bundle up nice and closely, however grudgingly. No, killing your threadmate and cuddling the body doesn't count.
☀ STEP FOUR: Keep 'em warm! Hot cocoa, hot coffee, hot tea, hot mustard, or other suitably warming beverages will be provided if you cooperate.
☀ STEP FIVE: Lulz ensue!

My friends and I often sat around having tea at home, after difficult battles.

Not particularly, but it will improve with time. As long as the pelts are sealed, I'll retain more heat.

She grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around him, hurrying him into a nearby shelter so he wouldn't get any colder.

"Are you all right?"

In our group, Raven would always make the swift decisions. Without her, it has become less efficient.

[Smiles and tugs the blankets tighter] It is becoming easier to locate what you all refer to as the 'middle ground'.

Billy hadn't meant to worry her. He looked apologetic, poking his head up from the top of the blanket and shivering slightly.

"I haven't felt severe hypothermia symptoms, so I believe I'm all right. I just need to carefully raise my temperature again."

He was running over treatment methods in his head at that moment. His clothes were waterproof, but there was snow from his gloves and scarf to shake out. It was done carefully by the doorway.

"I guess I'm just not used to this. We never saw snow in California unless it was summoned by a magical being."

Katara was perfectly fine in this weather, but had never seen anyone be around this kind of weather with that lack of clothing.

Not often. I live in a warmer climate, so even our winters rarely see snow. I've never experienced this cold before.
