No More Secrets Meme

Good evening meatship, I bring you your Friday meme!

No More Secrets

1. All of your character's darkest and most embarrassing secrets, the ones that they have been holding back from the crew, are now common knowledge.

2. Since not everyone knows everyone's canon, comment with your character and a bulleted list of the things they have been holding back from the crew. These can be funny things (that time I ran around with my underwear outside my pants), embarrassing things (Little Black Book-type secrets) or the dark things they never wanted anyone to know.

3. Other characters react to these sudden revelations about your character. Will it change the way people feel about each other?

IMPORTANT: PLEASE POST WARNINGS IN THE SUBJECT LINE IF SOMETHING IN THE COMMENT IS TRIGGERY. This meme has the potential to be a lot more dramatic than our usual fare, and I want to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Muns, have fun! Characters... well, I'm not sure "fun" applies.

Speaking on someone whose brain actually has an evil mode to flip to, it doesn't work like that. There's a part of you that's you, and will always be you, and when you grow up, it'll still be you, even if the parts on the edges change a little. If you ever do bad things, it'll be a conscious choice, and like all choices, that means you get to decide it. You can just...always choose not to be that way. So just always choose not to be that way.

And you're a child that's going to grow up into a grown up, and learn stuff, and use your brain for stuff, and you'll be one of those people that figures out how to cure me of an alien virus so I can go punch Ohm in the faceplate or figures out the best places to point me at to go punch them, or you'll learn to fight, or you'll make weapons, or you'll teach other kids stuff, or you'll find something that helps the people here, just like everyone else. Right now, you're growing up into that grown up, and that's important. We're gonna be doin' this for a while, kiddo, that's already kinda clear, and you'll already start hitting Useful-Land in your teen years, most likely.

...I hate it when you make sense.

Contrary to popular belief, I'm no slouch in the brains department.

[kneels and takes her by the hands.]

You have time to be a kid. Maybe not the best childhood you could ask for, with bugs and monsters and scary stuff, but for the most part, people are trying to let you still be a kid for the time you've got.

Take it from someone who never had a childhood: you're not missing out by not just zipping to adulthood.

When you do get there, you're gonna be nothing like your parents, unless they had any good stuff about them, in which case, you might be that, but only that and not the bad stuff.

[pulls her into a giant, strong, safe, brotherly hug that's pretty much all biceps]

And I love you too, kiddo. I'm proud of how brave you've been with all the scary stuff. Whatever happens with the war, I'm glad I met you.

[He doesn't say that to many people, but his little sis? He can make an exception for her.]

I'm glad I met you, too. [She's just, going to keep her face in his shoulder until she's okay with looking him in the eye again, okay? Okay great.]

Even though I'm pretty sure "zipping to adulthood" would give my father a heart-attack, [Because she's supposed to be like, 23.] I can't wait to be tall.
