No More Secrets Meme

Good evening meatship, I bring you your Friday meme!

No More Secrets

1. All of your character's darkest and most embarrassing secrets, the ones that they have been holding back from the crew, are now common knowledge.

2. Since not everyone knows everyone's canon, comment with your character and a bulleted list of the things they have been holding back from the crew. These can be funny things (that time I ran around with my underwear outside my pants), embarrassing things (Little Black Book-type secrets) or the dark things they never wanted anyone to know.

3. Other characters react to these sudden revelations about your character. Will it change the way people feel about each other?

IMPORTANT: PLEASE POST WARNINGS IN THE SUBJECT LINE IF SOMETHING IN THE COMMENT IS TRIGGERY. This meme has the potential to be a lot more dramatic than our usual fare, and I want to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Muns, have fun! Characters... well, I'm not sure "fun" applies.

So you don't think ill at all of a human that's maybe...lost a little something they'd rather not have lost still trying to make themselves useful, right?

Even though, even though with the little secret up there, it doesn't say "Andalites," it says "people."

< I don't think ill at anyone who isn't a Yeerk. If someone can still be useful, there is no shame in continuing to be so. If they were Andalites however, they would be more comfortable in isolation. >

Is that because they honestly would be or because all the rest of their society shamed them into it?

Is that some kind of biological thing with Andalites? Getting disabled means you have this urge to go hide? Because nothing about losing my leg has given me this inherent urge to hide myself from the world--other than worrying about what people might think. Those kinds of things.

It would be because your society shamed them.

Guess how I know this.

I can't see how, unless they have some instinct to hide when they're lame, that they'd want to hide. Who really wants to hide unless they're worried about what people will think?

No, that's just it.

You want to hide, because people will know that you weren't strong enough. That you were defeated.

But if you don't even have the option of getting over your . . . whatever you've lost, if all you're supposed to do is just stay in exile and be nothing and no one -

You can't live like that. Unless you've got something else to live for. But if you don't, if you've lost everything and there's no chance even your people will ever take you back, for whatever reason -

It doesn't work like that.
